Driver inattention is a major contributor to road crashes. The emerging of new driver monitoring systems represents an opportunity for researchers to explore new data sources to understand driver inattention, even if the technology was not developed with this purpose in mind. This study is based on retrospective data obtained from two driver monitoring systems to study distraction and drowsiness risk factors.

Introduction: Vascular dementia (DV) is the second cause of dementia with 15.8-20% of cases. Previous studies of the effect of occupation in DV do not show conclusive results, therefore, the objective was to analyze if the type of occupation can vary the risk of developing DV in those older than 55 years.

Nano-heterostructures of titanate nanotubes were synthesized and they revealed a complex structure with the formation of TiO (anatase), CeO, AgO and metallic silver nanoparticles on the outer walls and intercalation of Ce and Ag into the interlayer spaces of the nanotubes by microwave-assisted hydrothermal process and subjected to ion exchange reactions. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first reported silver and cerium co-exchanged titanate nanotubes for bio-applications. The co-ion exchange processes preserved the original tubular structure of titanate nanotubes with significant changes of the superficial as well as interlamellar environment.

Problems associated with cartilage are very common worldwide and are considered the leading cause of pain and disability. Smart biomaterial or "Four dimensional" (4D) biomaterials has started emerging as a suitable candidate, which are principally three dimensional (3D) materials that change their morphology or generate a response measured at space and time to physiologic stimuli.

We aimed to evaluate practice variability and physician perspectives in decision-making with rescue therapy.
Methodology: An internet-based survey of members of the inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) section of the British Society of Gastroenterology was conducted.
This work reports a new sensitive strategy for the determination of tau protein, a hallmark of Alzheimer's disease (AD), involving a sandwich immunoassay and amperometric detection at disposable screen-printed carbon electrodes (SPCEs) modified with a gold nanoparticles-poly(amidoamine) (PAMAM) dendrimer nanocomposite (3D-Au-PAMAM) covalently immobilized onto electrografted p-aminobenzoic acid (p-ABA). The capture antibody (CAb) was immobilized by crosslinking with glutaraldehyde (GA) on the amino groups of the 3D-Au-PAMAM-p-ABA-SPCE, where tau protein was sandwiched with a secondary antibody labeled with horseradish peroxidase (HRP-DAb). Amperometry at -200 mV (vs the Ag pseudo-reference electrode) upon the addition of hydroquinone (HQ) as electron transfer mediator and HO as the enzyme substrate was used to detect the immunocomplex formation.

Method: Ecological time-series based on cumulative confirmed cases of COVID-19 from March 11 to May 12. Joinpoint regression models were applied to identify points of inflection in COVID-19 trends, considering the days since the 50 confirmed case as time unit.
Objective: This study aimed to assess the safety and immunogenicity of the quadrivalent human papillomavirus (qHPV) vaccination in childhood-onset systemic lupus erythematosus (cSLE) patients.
Methods: Volunteer cSLE patients aged 9-20 years and healthy controls (HC) were enrolled to receive a two- or three-dose qHPV vaccination schedule from March 2014 to March 2016. Study visits were performed before the first dose, one month after the second and third doses and one year after the first dose.
This study aimed to evaluate levels of yerba mate () extract (YME), as a feed additive in the diets of growing lambs on serum biochemical parameters and hematological indices, animal performance, body metrics and carcass traits. Thirty-six entire (nine per treatment), male growing lambs, weighing 23.8 ± 3.

In this context, we report in this paper the development of a disposable immunoplatform for the rapid and simultaneous determination of two protein biomarkers recently reported to be involved in the pathological process of neurodegenerative disorders (NDD), tau protein (tau), and TAR DNA-binding protein 43 (TDP-43). The methodology involves implementation of a sandwich-type immunoassay on the surface of dual screen-printed carbon electrodes (dSPCEs) electrochemically grafted with p-aminobenzoic acid (p-ABA), which allows the covalent immobilization of a gold nanoparticle-poly(amidoamine) (PAMAM) dendrimer nanocomposite (3D-Au-PAMAM).

This study aims to identify: 1) the status of SSLT in CURP; 2) stakeholder perspectives on the utility of SSLT; 3) barriers to developing and implementing SSLT; and 4) how to address these barriers.
Methods: Surveys were developed and issued to three groups of stakeholders: 1) SSLT directors at all 13 CURPs (response rate 100%); 2) teaching faculty (response rate 33%); and 3) urology residents (response rate 24%).
Objective: Identification of a cost-effective treatment strategy is an unmet need in Crohn's disease (CD). Here we consider the patient outcomes and cost impact of pan-intestinal video capsule endoscopy (PVCE) in the English National Health Service (NHS).
Design: An analysis of a protocolized CD care pathway, informed by guidelines and expert consensus, was performed in Microsoft Excel.
To assess the association between anxiety and risk of vascular dementia (VaD), as well as potential sex differences, in a community-based cohort. A random sample of 4057 dementia-free community participants aged 55 or older, from the longitudinal, community-based Zaragoza Dementia and Depression Project (ZARADEMP) study were followed for 4.5 years.

However, regarding functional recovery in stabilised patients, these effects are not clear. Therefore, the main aim of this study is to investigate dopaminergic/anticholinergic burden of (AP) on psychosocial functioning in FEP.
