Ruminant livestock produce around 24% of global anthropogenic methane emissions. Methanogenesis in the animal rumen is significantly inhibited by bromoform, which is abundant in seaweeds of the genus . This study sought to understand whether the risk and protective factors associated with current partner violence changed in Vietnam using findings from two comparable surveys conducted in 2010 and 2019. Fifteen (2010) and 17 (2019) factors were significantly associated with violence, and the level of consistency was high-nonpartner sexual violence, respondent and partner prior abuse, men's expressions of masculinity, and indicators of low economic status continue to put women at risk. Gender-transformative approaches that address power inequalities, foster positive parenting, and promote the political and social influence of women are required and should be adapted to the Vietnam context.

Photo-switching compounds are widely used as super-resolution imaging agents, anti-counterfeiting dyes, and molecules that are able to control drug-receptor interactions. However, advancement of this field has been limited by the number of classes of molecules that exhibit this phenomenon, and thus there are growing activities to discover new photo-switching compounds that diversify and improve current applications and include the so-called donor-acceptor Stenhouse adducts. Herein, a new class of compounds, phenylindole alkene dimers, are presented as a novel class of photochromic molecules that exhibit photo-switching in the solid state.

A combination of freeze-dried powder of disproportionating enzyme (D-enzyme)-containing potato tuber and β-amylase-containing ramie leaf was used to improve the gluten-free (GF) bread, and its physicochemical properties were characterized. In this paper, we report the H₂S sensing properties of partially inverse copper ferrite (CuFe₂O₄) nanoparticles with sizes ranging from 16 nm to few hundreds of nanometers prepared through hydrothermal method. Effects of annealing temperature on the particle size, microstructure and gas-sensing properties of spinel ferrite were studied through scanning electron microscopy, synchrotron X-ray powder diffraction and resistance measurement. Electrical conduction mechanism is discussed based on the cation distribution in the lattice and resistance contribution from the grain boundaries.

A series of PAMAM dendrimer generation 5-poly(acrylic acid) grafts were prepared to evaluate the potential use of dendritic grafts as a drug encapsulated nanocarrier. The structural features of the synthesized polymer graft were identified by FT-IR and 1H-NMR spectra and the biophysical properties were characterized by measuring its particle size and zeta potential. The prepared dendrimer G5-PAA grafts had particle size in the range of 600 to 900 nm and the size increased proportionally with the number of PAA on dendrimer surface.
