Objective: Dydrogesterone (DG), a synthetic isomer of progesterone, plays a potential regulatory role in the periodontal environment. The aim of this study was to investigate the potential effects of DG on periodontitis under periodontal therapy (PT) and the underlying mechanisms related to oral microbiota.
Methods: As a cohort study, perimenopausal women with periodontitis and abnormal uterine bleeding associated with ovulatory dysfunction were screened.
Objective: Progesterone (PG) is an important sex steroid hormone commonly administered to protect the endometrium in perimenopausal women. The present study aimed to explore differential responses of periodontitis to PG in perimenopausal women who did or did not undergo scaling and root planing (SRP).
Methods: A total of 129 perimenopausal women with mild-to-moderate periodontitis were enrolled and underwent treatment as follows: SRP (n = 35); SRP + PG (n = 34); PG (n = 31); and no treatment (s) (n = 29).
Recently, the massive accumulation of waste iron tailings powder (WITP) has resulted in significant environmental pollution. To solve this problem, this paper proposes an original mortar replacement (M) method to reuse waste solids and reduce cement consumption. In the experiment, the author employed an M method which replaces water, cement, and sand with WITP under constant water/cement and found that the strength development can be significantly improved.

The morphology, size, distribution and functional groups of the drug-loaded microparticles were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), laser particle size analyzer and fourier transform infrared analysis (FTIR). The effects of pressure, temperature and cosolvent concentration on the drug loading and release property of the microparticles prepared with and without cosolvent were investigated.
