Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a disorder causing chronic inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract, and its pathophysiological mechanisms are still under investigation. Here, we find that mice deficient of YOD1, a deubiquitinating enzyme, are highly susceptible to dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced colitis. The bone marrow transplantation experiment reveals that YOD1 derived from hematopoietic cells inhibits DSS colitis.

Diabetic kidney disease (DKD) is a common diabetic vascular complication affecting nearly 40% of patients with diabetes. The lack of efficacious therapy for DKD necessitates the in-depth investigation of the molecular mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis and progression of DKD, which remain incompletely understood. Here, we discovered that the expression of USP25, a deubiquitinating enzyme, was significantly upregulated in the kidney of diabetic mice.

An entropy driven catalytic reaction powered DNA motor was proposed for simultaneous detection of ochratoxin A (OTA) and chloramphenicol (CAP) in food. The dumbbell hairpin structure was formed by the two aptamers of OTA and CAP. The dumbbell hairpin can be opened by the interaction of OTA and CAP with their aptamers.

In the process of electrodeposition, the magnetic field would generate the magneto hydrodynamic (MHD) effect, which affects the flow and mass transfer of hydrogen evolution. Thus, the performance of electrodeposition coatings will be affected. In this work, Ni/nano-AlO coatings prepared by brush plating with magnetic fields were studied.
