Objective: JianPiHuaTan Formula (JPHTF), a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), has been utilized as an adjunctive therapy for colorectal cancer (CRC). The study aims to evaluate the potential clinical benefits of JPHTF and its effectiveness in inhibiting tumor growth.

Methods: 300 stage II/III CRC patients and 412 advanced CRC patients were enrolled to verify the clinical value of JPHTF in CRC treatment.

Objective: To examine the nephroprotective mechanism of modified Huangqi Chifeng decoction (, MHCD) in immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN) rats.

Methods: To establish the IgAN rat model, the bovine serum albumin, lipopolysaccharide, and carbon tetrachloride 4 method was employed. The rats were then randomly assigned to the control, model, telmisartan, and high-, medium-, and low-dose MHCD groups, and were administered the respective treatments via intragastric administration for 8 weeks.

Limited evidence suggests that elderly patients with advanced colorectal cancer (ACRC) may benefit from traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). This study investigated the efficacy and safety of TCM in old ACRC patients treated in the Oncology Department of Xiyuan Hospital between January 2012 and December 2021. The clinical characteristics of these patients were retrospectively reviewed.

The high incidence and mortality rates of colorectal cancer (CRC) are a severe challenge in China. In patients with stage III and high-risk stage II CRC after radical resection and postoperative adjuvant chemoradiotherapy, 40-60% experience recurrence and metastasis. Several years of clinical practice have shown that traditional Chinese medicine, including Jianpi Huatan granule (JHG), effectively prevents stage III and high-risk stage II CRC recurrence and metastasis after radical resection and postoperative standard adjuvant chemotherapy.

Objective: Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) as novel biomarkers are widely investigated in various cancers, although most of the literature shows that CTCs have predictive value for recurrence, metastasis, and prognosis after CRC surgery, results remain controversial. We aimed to systematically evaluate the value of CTCs in monitoring of colorectal cancer (CRC) recurrence and metastasis after surgery.

Method: The PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, and other databases were searched from the establishment of the database to May 27, 2021.

Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic has created a huge social and economic burden, and the lifestyles of individuals have significantly changed. In addition, the diagnosis, treatment and management of patients with cancer were greatly affected. Studies have shown that patients with cancer are at a higher risk of COVID-19 infection-related complications, which require aggressive preventive measures.

Ethnopharmacological Relevance: IgA nephropathy is the most common form of primary glomerulonephritis and is a major cause of renal failure worldwide. Modified Huangqi Chifeng decoction (MHCD), a traditional Chinese herbal preparation, has clinical efficacy in reducing the 24-h urine protein levels in patients with IgA nephropathy. However, the molecular mechanism of MHCD needs further study.

Background: There is increasing evidence of the epigenetic regulation of the immune response in cancer. However, the specific functions and mechanisms of RNA N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modification in the cell infiltration in the hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) tumor microenvironment (TME) is unknown.

Methods: We systematically analyzed the m6A-modification patterns of 371 HCC samples based on 23 m6A regulators, and determined their correlation with TME cell-infiltrating characteristics.

Modified Huangqi Chifeng decoction (MHCD) has been used to reduce proteinuria in immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN) for many years. Previously, we have demonstrated its protective role in glomerular mesangial cells. Podocyte injury, another key factor associated with proteinuria in IgAN, has also attracted increasing attention.

Background: Previous observational studies regarding the prognostic value of statin on colorectal cancer (CRC) patients showed various results.

Methods: Articles regarding the prognostic value of statin on CRC and published in English and before October 2020 were searched in the following databases: PubMed, Web of Science, EMBASE, Medline and Google Scholar. The multivariate hazard ratios (HRs) and their 95% confidence intervals (CI) were computed to explore associations between statins use and overall mortality or cancer-specific mortality of CRC.

The aim of the present study was to investigate whether modified Huangqi Chifeng decoction (MHCD) could be an effective treatment against Doxorubicin-induced nephrosis in rats and whether it regulates autophagy via the phosphoinositide-3 kinase/mammalian target of rapamycin (PI3K/mTOR) signaling pathway. A total of 40 male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into blank, model, telmisartan and MHCD groups. The rat model of nephrosis was induced by intragastric administration of Doxorubicin for 8 weeks.
