The lipopeptide produced by microorganisms is one of the representative biosurfactants and is characterized as a series of structural analogues of different families. Thirty-four families covering about 300 lipopeptide compounds have been reported in the last decades, and most of the reported lipopeptides produced by microorganisms were under aerobic conditions. The lipopeptide-producing strains under anaerobic conditions have attracted much attention from both the academic and industrial communities, due to the needs and the challenge of their applications in anaerobic environments, such as in oil reservoirs and in microbial enhanced oil recovery (MEOR).

Efficient and rapid removal of p-arsanilic acid (p-ASA) in water is very important in environmental protection and human health, however it is still a severe challenge in actual engineering. Herein, a novel sorbent (CF-PEI) was successfully fabricated by simply modifying the amphiphilic skin collagen fiber (CF) substrate with Polyethylenimine (PEI). The as-prepared CF-PEI exhibits high-efficiency adsorption for negatively charged p-ASA with aromatic rings due to the introduction of amino groups and the existence of hydrophobic bands, and the maximum adsorption capacity of CF-PEI for p-ASA was high up to 285.

In recent years, although the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of thermally stable all-inorganic CsPbI perovskite solar cells (PSCs) had shown a great progress, the most reported CsPbI PSCs suffered from the large open-circuit voltage () loss, which is related to severe nonradiative recombination and a mismatch in energy level at the transport layer/perovskite interface. In this work, europium acetate (EuAc) as a multifunction interface material is chosen to modify the TiO/perovskite interface, the crystal quality of CsPbI perovskite films is improved, and both bulk and interfacial defects are reduced effectively. Meanwhile, the energy levels arrangement between TiO and CsPbI perovskites is also optimized, corresponding the raised built-in electric field afford a strength force to accelerate the transport and extraction of charge carriers from CsPbI perovskites to TiO.

The widely held assumption that any important scientific information would be available in English underlies the underuse of non-English-language science across disciplines. However, non-English-language science is expected to bring unique and valuable scientific information, especially in disciplines where the evidence is patchy, and for emergent issues where synthesising available evidence is an urgent challenge. Yet such contribution of non-English-language science to scientific communities and the application of science is rarely quantified.

Cognate interactions between autoreactive B and T cells promote systemic lupus erythematosus pathogenesis by inter alia facilitating spontaneous germinal center (GC) formation. Whereas both myeloid and B cell APCs express B7 ligands (CD80 and CD86), the prevailing model holds that dendritic cell costimulation is sufficient for CD28-dependent T cell activation. In this study, we report that B cell-intrinsic CD80/CD86 deletion unexpectedly abrogates GCs in murine lupus.

The elimination of reactive oxygen species (ROS) caused by glutathione (GSH) is a fundamental concern in the oxidative stress therapy (OST) of tumors. This is the first report of copper phosphate nanospheres coated by poly (ethylene glycol) diacrylate (Cu(PO)@PEGDA) which act as nanozymes to amplify the anti-tumor effects of OST. Cu(PO)@PEGDA not only catalyzes the generation of ˙OH from HO but also consumes GSH, which is counterproductive to the role of ˙OH.
