Background: To examine the parallel mediating effects of social networking site use and self-esteem on the internalization of homophobia among LGB individuals, with a focus on variations across gender and coming out status.
Methods: A sample of 657 homosexual and bisexual individuals (mean age: 22.81 ± 6.
Background: Large-to-massive rotator cuff tears (L-M RCTs) usually requires a patch to reconstruction. Decellularized tendon patch (DTP) was a biomimetic and effective material for reconstructing L-M RCTs. However, the protocol for DTP sterilization and storage is variable, which may influence their performance.

However, traditional approaches such as spatial light modulation need to utilize numerous complex optical components to generate an OVA and bulky objective lenses to focus it. We reported a highly integrated all-fiber generator of the focused optical vortex array (FOVA) in this work.

Pulmonary embolism (PE) is an unpredictable but serious complication following liver donor hepatectomy (LDH), contributing significantly to postoperative morbidity and mortality. CASE REPORT This article reports 4 cases of PE in living donors following LDH, discussing their clinical presentations, diagnosis, and treatment, and reviewing the relevant literature.

This study aims to elucidate the role of lncRNA BANCR in EVs derived from breast cancer (BC) cells in trastuzumab resistance. Differentially expressed lncRNAs and downstream targets in BC-resistant samples were identified.

We retrospectively assessed the results of a paratenon-sparing repair technique vs an open giftbox repair of Achilles tendon ruptures.
Methods: Patients with Achilles tendon rupture who underwent surgical treatment at our hospital between January 2015 and August 2021 were retrospectively reviewed.

Addressing the issues with insufficient multi-scale feature perception and incomplete understanding of global information in traditional convolutional neural networks for image classification of wheat leaf disease, this paper proposes a global local feature network, i.e. GLNet, which adopts a unique global-local convolutional neural network architecture, realizes the comprehensive capturing of multi-scale features in an image by processing the global feature block and local feature block in parallel and integrating the information of both of them with the help of a feature fusion block.

Object: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of Fuzhisan(FZS) on autophagic function in Alzheimer's disease and to elucidate its potential mechanism through the P62 regulatory pathways.
Methods: FZS was extracted by water extraction-rotary evaporation method.
Background: Postgraduate studies often entail significant stress, which can profoundly affect students' well-being and academic performance. The supervisor-postgraduate relationship plays a pivotal role in shaping stress levels among postgraduate students. This study investigates the mediating role of self-efficacy and the moderating influence of psychological resilience in the link between supervisor-postgraduate relationships and perceived stress in postgraduate students.

Although modified anti-adhesion barriers have been studied extensively, the immune response induced by the implants and the unclear mechanism limits their application. In this research, the advantage of the multi-functionalities of CA (caffeic acid) is taken to synthesize biodegradable poly (ester urethane) urea elastomers with ester- and carbamate-bonded CA (PEUU-CA).

We aimed to assess the effectiveness and safety of using a balloon guide catheter during endovascular thrombectomy, compared with using a conventional guide catheter, in this patient population.
Methods: We conducted a multicentre, open-label, blinded-endpoint, randomised controlled trial at 28 hospitals in China.
A multimode fiber-based sensor is proposed and demonstrated for the detection of lead traces in contaminated water. The sensing mechanism involves using a light sheet to excite a specific group of skew rays that optimizes light absorption. The sensing region features an inline microbubble structure that funnels the skew rays into a tight ring, thereby intensifying the evanescent field.

Methods: Three experiments were conducted to investigate the effects of anger and hostile attribution on TDA, examining these factors at both the individual and group levels. The preliminary experiment investigated how emotions affect subsequent cognition at an individual level with the aim of understanding the underlying generative process of TDA.
Introduction: Liver transplantation is considered an effective treatment for end-stage liver disease. Laparoscopic donor hepatectomy (LDH) has become a new standard procedure. And it is important to minimize the pain of the donor.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA novel surface plasmon resonance (SPR) refractive index (RI) sensor based on the D-type dual-mode photonic crystal fiber (PCF) is proposed. The sensor employs a side-polished few-mode PCF that facilitates the transmission of the fundamental and second-order modes, with an integrated microfluidic channel positioned directly above the fiber core. This design minimizes the distance to the analyte and maximizes the interaction between the optical field and the analyte, thereby enhancing the SPR effect and resonance loss for improved sensing performance.

Herein, a built-in electric field (BIEF) strategy is reported to fabricate MnTe/MnO heterostructures with a large work function difference (ΔΦ) as a bifunctional cathode catalyst in Li-O batteries. The MnTe/MnO heterostructures with nanosheets and microporous structures result in an abundance of exposed active sites and facilitate mass transfer.

Methods: We conducted a questionnaire survey on 813 college students using the adult attachment scale, core self-evaluation scale, meaning in life scale, and love psychological stress scale.
Objectives: The objective of this systematic review was to clarify the status of near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) in monitoring perioperative renal regional tissue oxygen saturation (rSO) and determine whether there is evidence supporting its use in predicting postoperative acute kidney injury (AKI).
Design: A systematic search of electronic databases was conducted to identify all clinical studies that utilized NIRS to monitor renal rSO during the perioperative period to observe postoperative AKI.
Setting: Studies published online as of May 31, 2024, were included in the review.
