Rationale: Symmetrical peripheral gangrene (SPG) is a serious and rare complication in patients with urosepsis, characterized by distal limb symmetry impairment.
Patient Concerns: In this study, 3 cases of SPG caused by urosepsis were reported, and the Chinese and English literature on SPG caused by urosepsis was reviewed. The demographic, clinicopathological, treatment, and follow-up data of the patients were summarized and analyzed.
Urinary tumors pose a significant health threat because of their high prevalence and recurrence rates. Despite the availability of various treatment options, many patients poorly respond to traditional therapies, highlighting the urgent need for alternative approaches. Oncolytic viruses are promising therapeutic agents.

The proliferation and differentiation of muscle satellite cells and the apoptosis of cervical myocytes play important roles in the repair of chronic cervical muscle injuries; therefore, this study aimed to explore the potential mechanisms of Tuina to promote the repair of cervical muscle injuries in terms of the proliferation and differentiation of satellite cells and the apoptosis of myocytes.
Patients And Methods: Twenty-eight Wistar rats were randomly divided into control group, model group, Tuina group, and meloxicam group, with 7 rats in each group.
Objective: Despite the substantial advancements in imaging techniques for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of acute appendicitis (AA) over recent decades, the specificity and sensitivity of widely utilized laboratory biomarkers in clinical practice remain inadequate. This study aimed to investigate the diagnostic utility of commonly employed blood inflammatory markers for AA.
Methods: A total of 399 participants who either sought medical care or underwent health examinations were enrolled in this prospective study.
Background And Purpose: FLASH or ultra-high dose rate (UHDR) radiation therapy (RT) has gained attention in recent years for its ability to spare normal tissues relative to conventional dose rate (CDR) RT in various preclinical trials. However, clinical implementation of this promising treatment option has been limited because of the lack of availability of accelerators capable of delivering UHDR RT. Commercial options are finally reaching the market that produce electron beams with average dose rates of up to 1000 Gy/s.

The polymers show blue-violet fluorescence when dissolved in THF.

The integration of biomimetic principles into the sophisticated design of honeycomb structures has gained significant traction. Inspired by the natural reinforcement mechanisms observed in tree stems, this research introduces localized thickening to the conventional honeycombs, leading to the development of variable-density honeycomb blocks. These blocks are strategically configured to form modular honeycombs.

Thus, in this study, a practical, efficient, and green method was developed for the synthesis of aromatic ketones by applying a bis(2-butoxyethyl) ether/O system under external catalyst-, additive-, and base-free conditions. This O-mediated oxidation system can tolerate various functional groups and is suitable for large-scale synthesis.

Despite the rapid development of diagnostic methods and targeted drugs in recent years, many lung cancer patients do not benefit from effective therapies. The emergence of drug resistance has led to a reduction in the therapeutic effectiveness of targeted drugs, highlighting a crucial need to explore novel therapeutic targets.

Consequently, we conducted a multi-city study not only to determine whether meteorological factors significantly influence the risk of developing TB but also to assess the magnitude of these effects and explore potential modifying factors. Data on daily reported TB cases and meteorological factors were collected from January 1, 2013, to December 31, 2022, across 11 cities in Zhejiang Province.

The ability to extend their chiroplasmonic responses to the near-infrared (NIR) range is critically important for biomedical and nanophotonic applications, yet the rational design of such materials remains challenging. Herein, a strategy employing chiral plasmon-dielectric coupling is proposed to manipulate the chiroptical responses into the NIR region with high optical anisotropy.

Methods: The 124 patients who underwent abdominal MRI between January and July 2021 were retrospectively studied. For each patient, two-dimensional axial T-weighted single-shot fast spin-echo MRI images with or without fat saturation were reconstructed using DL-based and conventional methods.
With the increasing prevalence of electronic devices, awareness of the risks linked to blue light exposure has significantly heightened. Lutein, a powerful antioxidant, safeguards eye tissue by filtering blue light, while supplementation with docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) enhances retinal function. Adequate intake of these nutrients can help reduce the potential damage from prolonged blue light exposure.
