Objective: To explore the surgical techniques and feasibility of robotic surgery for carcinoma in the remnant stomach(CRS).
Methods: Clinicopathological data of 20 CRS patients undergoing robotic surgery at the Minimally Invasive Center for Gastrointestinal Surgery, Army Medical University Southwest Hospital from November 2012 to October 2017 were retrospectively collected. The surgical methods, procedures, main difficulties, and key techniques were analyzed, and the clinical efficacy was evaluated.
Purpose: On account of the potential inhibition of OATP1B1 (organic anion transporting polypeptide) by angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs) and the effects of SLCO1B1 (solute carrier organic anion transporter family member) polymorphism, the aim of current study is to assess the impact of ARBs on the pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) of repaglinide in Chinese healthy volunteers with different SLCO1B1 genotypes.
Methods: The in vitro study was conducted on irbesartan, valsartan, olmesartan, and losartan by using HEK293 cells transfected with OATP1B1. Data on drug interactions between repaglinide and irbesartan from 21 healthy Chinese-Han male volunteers were collected and analyzed.

Considering the obesity epidemic in Western countries, it is important to identify novel therapeutic targets for obesity-induced colonic inflammation, to develop targeted strategies for prevention. Eicosanoids are endogenous lipid signaling molecules involved in regulating inflammation and immune responses.

Methods: The activities of ATPase and antioxidase were identified by ATPase, SOD, and CAT assay kits following the instructions.
Purpose: To investigate the incidence of workplace violence involving nurses and to identify related risk factors in a high-quality Chinese teaching hospital.
Methods: A cross-sectional study design was used. The final sample comprised responses from 1831 registered nurses collected with a whole-hospital survey from June 1 to June 15, 2016.
Chronic inflammation is associated with all stages of cancer development. Moreover, a proinflammatory microenvironment resulted from chronic inflammation is considered to be an essential component of cancer. Interleukin-23 (IL-23) is a general proinflammatory factor; and is involved in tumor-associated inflammation in gastric cancer (GC).

Methods: To investigate the microbial infection patterns and molecular epidemiology characteristics of the carbapenem-resistant GNB isolates from a long-term hospitalized patient, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, phenotypic screening test for carbapenemase production, PCR screening and DNA sequencing of carbapenemase genes, repetitive extragenic palindromic sequence-based PCR (REP-PCR), multilocus sequencing typing (MLST) and genetic environment analysis were performed.
Results: Twelve strains with carbapenemase genes were detected from 63 carbapenem-resistant isolates, including two bla-carrying Pseudomonas aeruginosa, one bla-carrying Citrobacter freundii, three bla-carrying Klebsiella pneumoniae and six bla-carrying K.
Primary retroperitoneal liposarcoma (PRPLS) is the most common soft tissue malignancy of the retroperitoneum. To determine the pathological features and the curative effects of surgery in patients with PRPLS, and to elucidate key prognostic factors, the present study retrospectively analyzed the clinical cases of 65 patients with PRPLS. Immunohistochemical analysis demonstrated that vimentin and Ki-67 are better indicators for PRPLS immunohistochemical diagnosis compared with S-100 protein.

We reinvestigated this phenomenon and found that indole production under these conditions is probably not a direct response to heat stress. Rather, E.

Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), arachidonic acid (ARA), and their metabolites have various effects in kidney injury, but their molecular mechanisms are largely unknown. Here, we report that 14 (15)-epoxyeicosatrienoic acid [14 (15)-EET] and 19 (20)-epoxydocosapentaenoic acid [19 (20)-EDP], the major epoxide metabolites of ARA and DHA, respectively, have contradictory effects on kidney injury in a murine model of ischemia/reperfusion (I/R)-caused AKI.

Methods: Ultrasound treatment were applied on different concentrations of S. cerevisiae cells with different pH, temperature, ultrasound power, irradiating time, and pulse duty ratio.
A transparent and flexible film heater was fabricated; based on a hybrid structure of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) and silver nanowires (Ag NWs) using a screen printing; which is a scalable production technology. The resulting film integrates the advantages of the two conductive materials; easy film-forming and strong adhesion to the substrate of the polymer PEDOT:PSS; and high conductivity of the Ag NWs. The fabricated composite films with different NW densities exhibited the transmittance within the range from 82.

In an effort to disentangle hypha-associated virulence factor regulation from morphological transition, the purpose of this study was to determine if overexpression of or in an Δ/Δ Δ/Δ mutant could restore the capacity to cause immunopathology during murine vaginitis to this avirulent hypofilamentous strain. Two similar yet distinct genetic approaches were used to construct expression vectors to achieve SAP overexpression, and both genetic and functional assays confirmed elevated SAP activity in transformed strains.

Due to the existence of ionic and neutral byproducts, the analysis of the product mixture usually requires ion chromatography, LC and gas chromatography simultaneously. The new method enables accomplishment of the analysis in one LC run within 6min.

The spoilage of beer by bacteria is of great concern to the brewer as this can lead to turbidity and abnormal flavors. The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method for detection of beer-spoilage bacteria is highly specific and provides results much faster than traditional microbiology techniques. However, one of the drawbacks is the inability to differentiate between live and dead cells.
