Background: Heart failure (HF) in elderly patients with concurrent hypotension presents a therapeutic challenge due to limited standard HF therapies' applicability. Recombinant human brain natriuretic peptide (rhBNP) and vasoactive medications have shown potential in HF management, but their combined efficacy in elderly patients with HF and hypotension remains understudied.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study included elderly HF patients with hypotension who received rhBNP alone (Group A, n = 68), rhBNP with dobutamine (Group B, n = 74), or rhBNP with dopamine (Group C, n = 71).
The fundamental issue in immunotherapy is the lack of tumor-specific antigens in most types of tumors, leading to immune tolerance. For approximately 85% of patients with microsatellite stable (MSS) colorectal cancer (CRC), the absence of tumor neoantigens results in poor immunotherapy efficacy. Our previous study demonstrated that the misincorporation of non-proteinogenic proline (Pro) analog azetidine-2-carboxylic acid (AZE) could generate mutated proteins that significantly enhance tumor cell antigenicity and anti-tumor immune responses.

In this study, we investigated the effects of FA on the pregnane X receptor () by molecular docking and reporter gene assays. In addition, we explored the effects of FA on oxidative stress, endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS), apoptosis, and hepatic pathology by interfering with in ex vivo and in vivo models.

Given the success and tolerability of R-DA-EDOCH immunochemotherapy in treating aggressive B-cell lymphomas, we designed a prospective, phase 3 trial to explore the efficacy and safety of alternating R-DA-EDOCH/R-DHAP induction therapy for young patients with newly diagnosed MCL. The primary endpoint was the complete remission rate (CRR) at the end of induction (EOI).

Methods: A total of 100 patients who underwent invasive coronary angiography, OCT, and CCTA before discharge were included in this study. The data were randomly divided into a training set (80 %) and a test set (20 %).
Heart failure (HF) is a major complication in patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and is the leading cause of death in this high-risk population. Sacubitril/Valsartan is an angiotensin receptor-neprilysin inhibitor (ARNI) that has been shown to improve treatment outcomes in patients with ESRD accompanied by HF. Unfortunately, in clinical practice, some patients who received sacubitril/valsartan treatment not only did not show a good therapeutic effect, but also got worse with the passage of time.

BTK inhibitor have shown promising outcomes, yet achieving deep remission (VGPR or CR) remains challenging and time-limited therapy with proteasome-inhibition has not been reported. We conducted a phase 2 clinical trial (NCT04463953) to evaluate the efficacy and safety of combining zanubrutinib, ixazomib and dexamethasone (ZID) in newly diagnosed WM patients.

Objectives: To explore the molecular mechanism by which miR-124 affects cognitive function of sleep-deprived rats.
Methods: Fifty-four adult male SD rats were randomized into 6 groups (=9), including a normal control group, a sleep deprivation (SD) model group, and 4 intracerebral microinjection groups in which the rats were subjected to stereotactic injection of miR-124 agomir, miR-124 agomir NC, miR-124 antagomir, or miR-124 antagomir into the lateral ventricle 7 days before SD modeling. The cognitive functions of the rats were evaluated with Morris water maze test, and pathological changes in the hippocampus were observed using HE staining.
Background: The resection of large superficial esophageal neoplastic lesions (SENLs) presents significant challenges for traditional endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD). Endoscopic submucosal tunnel dissection (ESTD) has emerged as an alternative that potentially reduces resection difficulty.
Objectives: We aimed to compare ESTD and ESD in the treatment of large SENLs.
Dietary fiber (DF) from corn sprouts, subjected to pretreatment with static magnetic field (SMF), was systematically investigated for its structural and functional characteristics using an enzymatic method. After SMF treatment, the surface of soluble DF showed higher pore density and pore structures, and insoluble DF showed more folds and a concave-convex surface profile. FT-IR and thermogravimetric analyses also showed that SMF pretreatment improved the functional group structure and thermal stability of DFs in corn sprouts.

In the present study, we aimed to investigate the clinical significance of CTNNB1 mutation detection for diagnosing SPN and explore the difference in clinicopathological characteristics at different ages and sex.
Methods: Patients who underwent surgery for a pathologically confirmed SPN in our institution between 2011 and 2020 were collected.
Abnormal glucose metabolism inevitably disrupts normal neuronal function, a phenomenon widely observed in Alzheimer's disease (AD). Investigating the mechanisms of metabolic adaptation during disease progression has become a central focus of research. Considering that impaired glucose metabolism is closely related to decreased insulin signaling and insulin resistance, a new concept "type 3 diabetes mellitus (T3DM)" has been coined.

Herein, we used Mendelian randomization (MR) to assess whether this association is causal.
Methods: We selected IDA genetic variants, including 8376 samples and 9810691 single nucleotide polymorphisms, and immune cells from a large open genome-wide association study (GWAS) for a bidirectional MR study.
In this paper, the pollen morphology characteristics, chromosome karyotype characteristics, floral pigments, and scents components of 15 species and hybrids of Syringa L. were obtained by means of scanning electron microscopy, root tips quash method, HPLC-MS, and GC-MS, and the 15 species and hybrids of Syringa L. were clustered separately with each index.

Leveraging the Dead Sea effect and the strong hydrogen bonding, this study exploits the CaCl and the abundant hydroxyl groups in phytic acid (PA) to induce chain entanglements, thereby constructing a complex, multi-crosslinked network. Furthermore, PA and ternary solvent systems (CaCl/Glycerol/HO) synergistically impart excellent mechanical strength, toughness (with tensile strength of 8.

However, its highly unsaturated structure and significant lipophilic characteristics limit its dispersibility and bioavailability, thereby restricting its application in food, medicines, and nutraceuticals. To overcome these limitations, researchers have proposed the use of nano delivery systems.

Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells have encouraging results in the treatment of hematological malignancies. However, CAR-T therapy still faces numerous challenges against solid tumors, such as hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), owing to heterogeneous antigen expression in tumor cells, limited persistence of CAR-T cells, etc. Therefore, to treat HCC more effectively, we connected the molecular receptor NKBB to a second-generation glypican-3 (GPC3) CAR to construct GC3328z-NKBB CAR-T cells, which have double specific targets of GPC3 and NKG2DLs (natural killer group 2, member D ligands), dual co-stimulation of CD28 and 41BB, and a single CD3ζ chain.
