Constructing novel graphic carbon nitride (g-CN)-based nanohybrids via a facile method for high-performance polymeric materials which exhibit enhanced fire safety properties are highly desirable. Here, the g-CN/carbon sphere/Cu (denoted as CSACS-C) nanohybrid was prepared by metal ions-induced gel reaction using sodium alginate as a green template, and thereafter introduced into thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) matrix to prepare nanocomposites. Microstructure analyses indicated the successful synthesis of the ternary nanohybrid, where both the g-CN nanosheets and Cu nanoparticles were well-dispersed in the carbon material.

Hybrid phototransistors based on InGaZnO (IGZO) metal oxide thin-film transistors (TFT) and a photoabsorbing capping layer such as perovskite (MAPbI) are a promising low-cost device for developing advanced X-ray and UV flat-panel imagers. However, it is found that the introduction of MAPbI inevitably damages the IGZO channel layer during fabrication, leading to deteriorated TFT characteristics such as off-current rising and threshold voltage shift. Here, we report an effective approach for improving the performance of the perovskite-IGZO phototransistor by inserting a [6,6]-phenyl C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) or PCBM:PMMA interlayer between the patterned MAPbI and IGZO.

The crystallization of organic or perovskite semiconductors reflects the intermolecular interactions and crucially determines the charge transport in opto-electronic devices. In this report, we demonstrate and investigate the use of an ultrasonicated dispenser to guide the formation of crystals of organic and perovskite semiconductors. The moving speed of the dispenser affects the match between the concentration gradient and evaporation rate near the three-phase contact lines and thus the generation of various crystallization morphologies.

Clinically significant portal hypertension (CSPH) is associated with an incremental risk of esophageal varices and overt clinical decompensations. Ulinastatin and propofol (PPF) are recognized for their anticancer properties. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the synergistic antitumor effect of PPF followed by ulinastatin against A549 cells. In MTT assays, PPF (10, 20 and 30 µM) followed by 200 U/ml ulinastatin was more effective at inhibiting A549 cell viability compared with PPF (10, 20 and 30 µM) or 200 U/ml ulinastatin.

Signals from 800 G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) to many SH3 domain-containing proteins (SH3-CPs) regulate important physiological functions. These GPCRs may share a common pathway by signaling to SH3-CPs via agonist-dependent arrestin recruitment rather than through direct interactions. In the present study, F-NMR and cellular studies revealed that downstream of GPCR activation engagement of the receptor-phospho-tail with arrestin allosterically regulates the specific conformational states and functional outcomes of remote β-arrestin 1 proline regions (PRs).
