This study proposes a cohesive zone model (CZM) that accounts for the accumulation of fatigue damage at the mesoscale to investigate the fatigue performance of RC. The model integrates static and fatigue damage in the CZM, effectively capturing damage caused by fatigue loading.

The mechanisms underlying subclinical hypothyroidism (SCH) remain unclear, making timely and accurate differentiation between hypothyroidism and SCH, as well as severity assessment, challenging. This study aimed to investigate the role of NFE2 like bZIP transcription factor 2 (Nrf2), gp, and interleukin-17 (IL-17) in the pathogenesis of SCH. In this prospective comparative study, 105 SCH patients, 105 hypothyroidism patients, and 105 healthy individuals were enrolled from January 2022 to August 2023.

Therefore, our aim was to develop a prediction model for first trimester pregnancy loss in RPL patients. We used ultrasound indices during the first trimester of pregnancy in combination with demographic characteristics and commonly used serum markers.

In this study, we proposed a physicochemical bidirectional regulation strategy via ration by physically utilizing hydroxyapatite nanopatterning to recruit and induce MSCs osteogenic differentiation and by chemically inhibiting osteolysis activity through the loaded zoledronate. The nanorod-like hydroxyapatite coating was fabricated via a modified hydrothermal process while the zoledronic acid was loaded through the chelation within the calcium ions.

Based on a cohesive model of rubber composed of a five-phase material containing mortar, aggregate, rubber, aggregate-mortar interfacial transition zone (ITZ), and rubber-mortar ITZ, this paper studies the influence of the cohesive parameters in the rubber-mortar ITZ on the fatigue problem of rubber concrete on the mesoscopic scale. As the weak part of cement-based composite materials, the ITZ has a great influence on the mechanical properties and durability of concrete, but the performance of the ITZ is difficult to test in macro experiments, resulting in difficulties in determining its simulation parameters.

However, balancing the dynamic properties and mechanical strength of dynamic polyimines presents a major challenge due to the dissociative and associative nature of the imine bonds. Herein, we introduced bulky fluorene groups and polyether amine into the skeleton of polyimine networks to achieve a tradeoff in comprehensive properties.

However, effective diagnostic, therapeutic and prognostic biomarkers are still lacking. Our research group previously revealed through high-throughput sequencing that the serum exosomes miR-133a-3p, miR-206, and miR-549a-3p differ significantly in severe TBI (sTBI), mild or moderate TBI (mTBI), and control groups.

In this study, we developed a novel mussel shell-inspired conductive scaffold for SCI repair with ease of production, multi-scale porous structure, high flexibility, and excellent biocompatibility. By utilizing the reducing properties of polydopamine, non-conductive graphene oxide (GO) was converted into conductive reduced graphene oxide (rGO) and crosslinkedwithin the mussel shells.

There is evidence for the involvement of abnormalities in metabolic and endocrine systems in SCZ, even in drug-naïve first-episode schizophrenia patients (DNFES).

Methods: We obtained the endometrial samples from 33 PCOS patients and 7 healthy controls at the Reproductive Center of the Second Hospital of Lanzhou University from September 2019 to September 2020. Liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LCMS/MS) was conducted to identify the differentially expressed proteins (DEPs) of the two groups.

Objective: We aimed to investigate the significance of autophagy proteins and their association with clinical data on pregnancy loss in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), while also constructing predictive models.
Methods: This study was a secondary analysis. we collected endometrial samples from 33 patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and 7 patients with successful pregnancy control women at the Reproductive Center of the Second Hospital of Lanzhou University between September 2019 and September 2020.
The exploration of bifunctional catalyst with economic, durable, and efficient performance plays a crucial role to boost both hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) in overall water splitting. Herein, we report a feasible strategy to design effective heterostructure between CoP and TiCT MXene (denoted as CoP/TiCT). This approach allows for the growth of CoP nanoparticles with uniform size of 5 nm on the TiCT MXene, further enhancing the water electrolysis efficiency.

Clinical findings demonstrated that serum IL-38 levels in people with infectious and autoimmune diseases are significantly different from those in healthy people, but the form remains unclear. We are keenly interested in learning more about the regulatory role of full-length IL-38 in rheumatoid arthritis (RA), a classic autoimmune disease.

This study evaluates the influence of CPC quality control indicators on mortality risk in STEMI patients receiving primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PPCI) during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Methods: A cohort of 664 consecutive STEMI patients undergoing PPCI from 2020 to 2022 was analyzed using Cox proportional hazards regression models.
Red pigments (MPs) are a large group of polyketides from the fungus which have been widely used as food colorants. In this study, a variety of red MPs congeners were prepared to explore promising water-soluble candidates for application in liquid food formulations. The results showed that by combining the two-stage, low-pH fermentation strategy with a downstream purification step of fractional crystallization, precursors of red MPs, namely monascorubrin and rubropunctatin, were obtained with a purity of 91.

Amorphous materials disrupt the intrinsic linear scalar dependence seen in their crystalline counterparts, typically exhibiting enhanced catalytic characteristics. Nevertheless, substantial obstacles remain in terms of boosting their stability, enhancing their conductivity, and elucidating distinct catalytic mechanisms. Herein, a core-shell catalyst, comprising a crystalline SnO core and an amorphous SnO shell supported on MXene (denoted as SnO@SnO/MXene), was prepared utilizing hydrothermal and solution reduction methods.

Background: Catastrophic health expenditures (CHE) can trigger illness-caused poverty and compound poverty-caused illness. Our study is the first regional comparative study to analyze CHE trends and health inequality in eastern, central and western China, exploring the differences and disparities across regions to make targeted health policy recommendations.
Methods: Using data from China's Household Panel Study (CFPS), we selected Shanghai, Henan and Gansu as representative eastern-central-western regional provinces to construct a unique 5-year CHE unbalanced panel dataset.
With the development of immunotherapy, the process of tumor treatment is also moving forward. Polysaccharides are biological response modifiers widely found in plants, animals, fungi, and algae and are mainly composed of monosaccharides covalently linked by glycosidic bonds. For a long time, polysaccharides have been widely used clinically to enhance the body's immunity.
