Thirty one patients, aged 23-48 years, with ICD-10 diagnosis of psychogenic neurotic depression (F32.0 and F32.1), were studied.

[Principal indications and contraindications of the use of extracorporeal hemocorrection in psychiatry].

Analysis of different aspects of application of extracorporeal hemocorrection (EH) in psychiatric practice allows to make a conclusion about the necessity of a differential approach to the use of isolated and combined procedures. The latter were assessed by the results of combined treatment of 226 patients. Indications and contra-indications for EH use in psychiatric practice are outlined.

[Drug addictions in Russia and in the Armed Forces].

The drug addiction spread and its speed in Russia endanger the health and future of a substantial part of this country's youth in the nearest prospect. Military service is not a serious obstacle for the drug spread, so its real scale far exceeds the official statistics. The author recommends some measures which, if realized, would lead to the elimination of the problem.
