Background: According to the guidelines of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) conducted by bystanders, two methods of CPR are feasible: standard CPR (sCPR) with mouth-to-mouth ventilations and continuous chest compression-only CPR (CCC) without rescue breathing. The goal herein, was to evaluate the effect of sCPR (30:2) and CCC on resuscitation outcomes in patients with out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) patients.

Methods: This study was a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Methods of fluorescent probing, spectrophotometry and microcalorimetry were applied to investigate the alterations in biophysical parameters of erythrocytes membranes, and specifically microviscosity, surface charge, molecular organization of lipid bilayer and lipid-protein interactions under conditions of acute pain syndrome produced by experimental chemical lesion. The distinctive features of non-opiod analgesics interactions and binding to the erythrocytes membranes of rats subjected to acute nociceptive pain accompanied with oxidative stress development were investigated. [Antioxidant and cerebroprotective action of N-,S-chinazolone derivative under rat brain ischemia].

Under modelling of brain ischemia in rats the antioxidant and cerebroprotective action of new N-,S-chinazolone derivative--compound NC-224 has been established. The compensation of pathobiochemical abnormalities in the system "LPO-antioxidant protection" is observed, indicators of carbohydrate metabolism and energy-supply, and morpho-functional status of brain cells are improved under administration of the compound NC-224. Administration of the compound NC-224 to rats promoted a decrease of the lethality index and signs of neurological deficiency.

Introduction: There is a body of experimental evidence that mice and rats use chemical signals to avoid sexual contact with infected conspecifics. In contrast to animals, body scent of sick humans is employed only in medical diagnostics. Using biochemical and physicochemical methods of investigation in vivo, the effect of the substance NC-224, N-, S-chinasolone-derivative, on the lipoperoxidation activity in rat liver endoplasmatic reticulum membranes and nuclear chromatin fractions under tetrachloromethane intoxication have been studied. It was shown that NC-224 has pronounced antioxidant activity which is the biochemical basis of the substance membrane- and genome-protective effects and its ability to restore physicochemical properties of the surface and hydrophobic zones of hepatocyte membranes and structural parameter nuclear chromatin fractions in the conditions of chemical liver injury.

[Scent as an element of subjective assessment of young males and females].

In 46 male and 19 female students who were both donors and recipients of scent samples, we studied effects of the menstrual cycle phase, reproductive health, sexual motivation, and sexual experience on subjective assessment of intensity and pleasantness of the sweat scent. The sweat samples were collected by the 60-min long exposure of a filter paper in the armpit. Then the male and female samples were reciprocally assessed olfactorily with respect to their intensity, unpleasantness/pleasantness, and association with male or female.

[Interrelation between antioxidant hepatoprotective action of some derivatives of monochromanes and trimethylphenols and energy structural quantum-chemical parameters].

Energy and structural parameters of monochromanes and trimethylphenols derivatives have been chracterized through the employment of semiempirical methods of quantum chemistry. The correlation has been proved between antiradical, hepatoprotective properties of these compounds and energy and structural of their molecules that confirms the presence of relation between structure activity and electron-donor properties of the investigated monochromanes and trimethylphenols.

Using some biochemical and physico-chemical methods of investigation, antioxidant activity and membrane protective effect of derivatives of monochromanes and trimethylphenols has been studied most active inhibitors of lipoperoxidation and the compounds capacity to structural modification of properties of the surface and hydrophobic zones of phospholipids bilayer in membranes of endoplasmic reticulum of the liver cells of rats have been determined.

Aim: To analyse structure, clinical features, diagnosis of opportunistic and concomitant diseases in patients with HIV infection admitted to infection hospital of Moscow.

Material And Methods: A total of 4155 patients with HIV infection (1518 of them with AIDS) most of them (89%) at the age of 20-39 years were treated in Moscow AIDS hospital in 2006-2007. The examination included standard blood and urine tests, device diagnosis, immunological, bacteriological and molecular investigations of biological materials for detection of opportunistic infections.

Five-rank scale was used for subjective assessment of the scent samples in term unpleasant/pleasant. Scent attractiveness depended on physiological conditions of both recipients and donors.
