Adipocyte hypertrophy significantly contributes to insulin resistance and metabolic dysfunction. Our previous research established JMJD8 as a mediator of insulin resistance, noting its role in promoting adipocyte hypertrophy within an autonomous adipocyte context. Nevertheless, the precise mechanisms underlying this phenomenon remained elusive.

Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is a rare, highly invasive non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. The main pathogenesis of MCL is associated with the formation of the IgH/CCND1 fusion gene and nuclear overexpression of cyclin D1, which accelerates the cell cycle, leading to tumorigenesis. The prognosis with current standard chemotherapy is still unsatisfactory.

However, the complexity of the apparatus and the limited applicability of substances are the common challenges faced by most in situ monitoring methods. Here, we invented an in situ infrared optical fiber sensor to monitor the reactants and products during photocatalytic reaction.

We retrospectively studied 1,413 patients with HBV-HCC. Receiver operating characteristic curves identified optimal RAR cut-offs, stratifying patients into H-RAR and L-RAR groups.

In sodium-ion batteries, the layered transition metal oxides used as cathode often experience interlayer sliding of interlayer spacing and lattice variations during charge/discharge, leading to structural damage and capacity degradation. To address this challenge, a La doping strategy guided by Bayesian optimization has been employed to prepare the high-performance O3-NaNiMnCuLaO (NMCL) cathode material. Density functional theory calculations reveal that the O 2p orbital overlaps with the t orbital of transition metals in NMCL, facilitating the formation of Na-O-La bonds and promoting the oxygen redox reaction kinetics.

Objective: Primary intraventricular hemorrhage (PIVH) is a rare type of neurologic disorder and remains a challenge for cerebrovascular surgeons. This study intended to investigate the factors associated with neurosurgical intervention and its impact on outcome after PIVH.
Methods: We retrospectively included consecutive patients with PIVH admitted to at a single tertiary academic medical center in China.
Objective: To establish local diagnostic reference levels (DRLs) for pediatric neck CT based on age, weight, and water-equivalent diameter (WED) across multiple university hospitals in South Korea.
Materials And Methods: This retrospective study analyzed pediatric neck CT examinations from nine university hospitals, involving patients aged 0-18 years. Data were categorized by age, weight, and WED, and radiation dose metrics, including volume CT dose index (CTDI) and dose length product, were recorded.
Anticounterfeiting technologies meet challenges in the Internet of Things era due to the rapidly growing volume of objects, their frequent connection with humans, and the accelerated advance of counterfeiting/cracking techniques. Here, we, inspired by biological fingerprints, present a simple anticounterfeiting system based on perovskite quantum dot (PQD) fingerprint physical unclonable function (FPUF) by cooperatively utilizing the spontaneous-phase separation of polymers and selective in situ synthesis PQDs as an entropy source. The FPUFs offer red, green, and blue full-color fingerprint identifiers and random three-dimensional (3D) morphology, which extends binary to multivalued encoding by tuning the perovskite and polymer components, enabling a high encoding capacity (about 10, far surpassing that of biometric fingerprints).

Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) are widely used to pinpoint trait-related causal variant loci in genomes. However, the simultaneous integration of both methods for crop genome prediction necessitates further research.

Inspired by population-level control mechanisms like the immune response, we demonstrate dynamic control and amplification of gene regulation in bacterial populations using programmable plasmid-mediated gene transfer. By regulating plasmid loss rate, transfer rate and fitness effects via Cas9 endonuclease, F conjugation machinery and antibiotic selection, we modulate the fraction of plasmid-carrying cells, serving as an amplification factor for single-cell-level regulation.

An operando photoelectrochemical surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (PEC-SERS) biosensing platform was developed, capable of simultaneously capturing photocurrent and SERS signals, allowing operando characterization of the interfacial biosensing behavior. Porphyrin-based MOFs (Zr-MOF) served as bifunctional nanotags, providing a photocurrent and stable Raman signal output under 532 nm laser irradiation.

We used activation likelihood estimation (ALE) meta-analysis to systematically quantify the results of 19 neuroimaging studies in order to identify brain regions in which patients showed stable increases or decreases in activation after interventions. We also tested the moderating effects of disease stage (MCI vs.

Key pathogenic mechanisms include aging, radiation damage, chemical induction, infection and inflammation, and cross-talk with non-hematopoietic diseases. These pathological factors often lead to myelosuppression and myeloid skewing.
