Objective: To establish a submandibular gland imaging reporting and data system (SI-RADS) and explore its value in diagnosing submandibular gland (SMG) tumors.
Study Design: Patients with primary SMG tumors who underwent enhanced computed tomography (CT) scanning and surgical intervention at Peking University Hospital of Stomatology (2013-2022) were retrospectively included. The imaging data were assessed for acquisition of the relevant imaging features, including lesion boundary, shape, enhancement, calcification, lymph node, and adjacent tissue involvement, and vascular invasion.

Background: Fibrous dysplasia (FD), caused by activating mutations of GNAS, is a skeletal disorder with considerable clinicopathological heterogeneity. Although prevalent mutations such as R201C and R201H dominate in FD, a limited number of rare mutations, including R201S, R201G, and Q227L, have been documented. The scarcity of information concerning these uncommon mutations motivates our investigation, seeking to enhance comprehension of this less-explored subgroup within FD.

In light of the lack of reliable molecular markers for odontogenic myxoma (OM), the detection of copy number variation (CNV) may present a more objective method for assessing ambiguous cases. In this study, we employed multiregional microdissection sequencing to integrate morphological features with genomic profiling. This allowed us to reveal the CNV profiles of OM and compare them with dental papilla (DP), dental follicle (DF), and odontogenic fibroma (OF) tissues.

Methods: 409 inpatients who received OLA for at least 2 weeks, from June 2016 to March 2022 were included in the retrospective investigation. Moreover, 503 samples of above inpatients receiving OLA was built to investigate the influence of the relevant OLA plasma concentration, polymorphisms CYP1A2 -163C/A on the inpatients outcome.
Ameloblastic fibroma (AF) and related lesions, namely ameloblastic fibrodentinoma (AFD) and ameloblastic fibro-odontoma (AFO), span a spectrum from true neoplasms to hamartomas. The 2017 World Health Organization classification proposes that AFD and AFO are precursors to odontomas, yet their precise nature remains uncertain. This study examined 19 AF cases, 4 AFD, 15 AFO, 19 odontomas (OD, 14 complex, 5 compound), and 2 ameloblastic fibrosarcomas (AFS), focusing on clinical characteristics, recurrence, and molecular profiles.

However, the effectiveness of palliative care on patient-reported outcomes and mortality in community-dwelling adults with heart failure has not been evaluated.
Objective: We aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of palliative care interventions on patient-reported outcomes and all-cause mortality in community-dwelling adults with heart failure.

Background: There is inconsistent evidence regarding the accuracy of mutations identification for the diagnosis of FD/MAS. This study was performed to estimate the prevalence and diagnostic accuracy of mutations detection and to preliminarily investigate the genotype-phenotype correlation in FD patients.
Methods: Five electronic databases were searched from 1995 to 2024 using search terms related to and fibrous dysplasia.
Objective: In this study, our aim was to develop and validate the effectiveness of diverse radiomic models for distinguishing between gnathic fibrous dysplasia (FD) and ossifying fibroma (OF) before surgery.
Materials And Methods: We enrolled 220 patients with confirmed FD or OF. We extracted radiomic features from nonenhanced CT images.
Objective: This Bayesian network meta-analysis was performed to analyze the associations between clinicopathological characteristics and BRAF mutations in ameloblastoma (AM) patients and to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy.
Materials And Methods: Four electronic databases were searched from 2010 to 2024. The search terms used were specific to BRAF and AM.
Acinic cell carcinoma of the salivary gland (AciCC) is a low-grade carcinoma characterized by the overexpression of the transcription factor nuclear receptor subfamily 4 group A member 3 (NR4A3). AciCC has been the subject of a few molecular research projects. This study delves into AciCC's molecular landscape to identify additional alterations and explore their clinical implications.

Design: Utilizing the Cancer Genome Atlas dataset, we analyzed amino acid metabolism genes, differentiated genes between HPV statuses, and selected key genes via LASSO regression for the prognostic model. The model's gene expression was verified through immunohistochemistry in clinical samples.
Background/purpose: There is inconsistent evidence regarding whether the botulinum toxin A (BTA) injection can relieve pain caused by bruxism. This study aimed to estimate the efficiency of BTA injection in relieving pain caused by bruxism at different follow-up periods.
Materials And Methods: Five electronic databases were searched from 2005 to 2022 using search terms related to botulinum toxin and bruxism.
Objectives: To investigate the imaging and anatomic features of the anterior lobe (AL) of the superficial parotid gland (SPG).
Methods: Computed tomographic sialography examinations were undertaken for 142 parotid glands in 77 patients. Whole computer tomography (CT) data were analyzed using multi-planar reformation and maximum intensity projection to generate sialographic CT images.
Background: Increased cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) β2-microglobulin (β2-MG) values are attributed to immune activation, lymphoid cell turnover and release of tissue destruction in the central nervous system (CNS). We investigated plasma and CSF β2-MG levels in adult patients with viral encephalitis/meningitis and their correlations with clinical parameters.
Method: CSF samples from 26 patients with viral encephalitis/meningitis were collected.
Background: Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is a complication caused by diabetes. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are a kind of RNA with a closed circular structure, which has high stability and is involved in many disease-related processes. The mechanism of circRNA TAO kinase 1 (circTAOK1) in the pathogenesis and development of DN is unclear.

Materials And Methods: Circ_0068087, miR-580-3p, and progestin and adipoQ receptor 3 (PAQR3) expression were detected by quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction.
Ovarian cancer (OC) is a common malignancy in women of reproductive age. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are emerging players in OC progression. We investigated the function and mechanism of circular RNA hsa_circ_0027803 (circCDK17) in OC pathogenesis.

However, distinguishing between AA and dentinogenic ghost cell tumor (DGCT) can still be challenging due to their significant morphologic similarities. In this study, we aimed to compare the clinicopathologic, immunohistochemical, and molecular characteristics of AA and DGCT to aid in their differentiation and to shed light on their pathologic mechanisms.
