Unexplained recurrent miscarriage (URM) is a common pregnancy complication with few effective therapies. Moreover, little is known regarding the role of pyroptosis in the regulation of the URM immune microenvironment. To address this issue, gene expression profiles of publicly available placental datasets GSE22490 and GSE76862 were downloaded from the Gene Expression Omnibus database.

Eight Typical Aroma Compounds of 'Panguxiang' Pear during Development and Storage Identified via Metabolomic Profiling.

Aroma is an appreciated fruit property, and volatile flavor plays a key role in determining the perception and acceptability of fruit products by consumers. However, metabolite composition that contributes to the aroma in fruit quality is unclear. In this study, we detected 645 volatile organic compounds of 'Panguxiang' pear in total, including esters, alcohols, alkanes, acids, ketones, terpenes and aldehydes.

Blocking PARP activity with the inhibitor veliparib enhances radiotherapy sensitivity in endometrial carcinoma.

Objective: Our study aimed to investigate the potential clinical utility of a poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibitor, veliparib (ABT-888), as a radiosensitizer in the medication of endometrial carcinoma (EC).

Methods: Human Ishikawa endometrial adenocarcinoma cells were treated with veliparib, radiotherapy (RT), or combination treatment. The viabilities, radiosensitivity enhancement ratio (sensitizer enhancement ratio (SER), and apoptosis of Ishikawa cells were, respectively, evaluated by Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8), colony formation experiment, and flow cytometry.

MicroRNAs in Woody Plants.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small (∼21-nucleotides) non-coding RNAs found in plant and animals. MiRNAs function as critical post-transcriptional regulators of gene expression by binding to complementary sequences in their target mRNAs, leading to mRNA destabilization and translational inhibition. Plant miRNAs have some distinct characteristics compared to their animal counterparts, including greater evolutionary conservation and unique miRNA processing methods.

Expression and clinical significance of WWOX, Elf5, Snail1 and EMT related factors in epithelial ovarian cancer.

Expression and clinical significance of WW domain-containing oxidoreductase (WWOX), Elf5, Snail1 and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) related factors in epithelial ovarian cancer were investigated. Ovarian cancer tissues of 300 epithelial ovarian cancer patients and the adjacent normal tissues were analyzed. Immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expressions of WWOX, Elf5, Snail1 and EMT marker molecules in the specimens.

Preparation and Characteristic of Dextran-BSA Antibody and Establishment of its ELISA Immunoassay.

The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) is a potential tool for the determination of dextran. In this study, dextran neoglycoprotein antigens were prepared by Reductive Amination method, and were confirmed by SDS-PAGE and free amino detection. The impact factors such as different oxidation degree of dextran, the conjugate reaction time to BSA were investigated.
