[Education for the XXI century and the reflexive teacher's formation in nursing].

This study shows expert approaches to education in the last few years and discusses the premises of reflexive teaching in this new century. Emphasizing the area of professional nursing, we discuss tendencies in the formation, activities and development of teachers with respect to the required knowledge and abilities, the teaching practice and aspects of nursing teacher's reflexive education in Brazil. Besides providing a deeper knowledge about the subject, the literature review allowed us to reveal the urgent need to revitalize college teaching from a reflexive perspective, in order to increase teachers' commitment and competency for professional performance.

[Reflexive education in post-modernity: a bibliographic review].

This is a bibliographical review that aimed at considering teaching at the actual historical moment, denominated post-modernity, and that has resulted in a pragmatic change in all levels of human being understanding. Thus, authors rescued and presented the presuppositions for a post-modern education, emphasizing among them the reflexive education proposed by Donald A. Shön, that is based on practical learning centered in "reflexion-in-action", as an alternative for the formation of a reflexive professional.

[The teaching of Psychiatry Nursing to undergraduate students in Brazil].

Historical retrospective of the teaching of Psychiatric Nursing in Brazil, in a Psychiatric Hospital of Rio de Janeiro, since the openning, of the first School of Nursing, until the present. The authors also try to identify the new concepts of this nursing speciality and the new trends of teaching it to undergraduate students.
