Background: Over recent years, cervical cancer incidence and related mortality have steadily increased in Eswatini. Low cervical cancer screening uptake partly explains the situation. Cervical cancer screening-related knowledge is positively associated with screening uptake.

Although microscopic analysis of microdebris entrapped within dental calculus has revealed important insights into the diet, health, and environment of multiple prehistoric populations, relatively few studies have examined the contributions of this approach to more recent historical periods. In this study, we analyze dental calculus from an English Post-Medieval, middle-class urban skeletal assemblage from Manchester, England using light microscopy.

To enhance knowledge and prevention of cervical cancer among young people in Ghana, there is a need to better understand their education preferences. The study aimed to describe female senior school students' preferences for receiving cervical cancer education.

This study aimed to determine: 1) the prevalence of modifiable risk factors for cervical cancer and HPV infection, 2) the clustering of modifiable risk factors for cervical cancer and HPV infection, and 3) factors associated with the identified clusters.
Methods: Female students (aged 16-24 years, N = 2400) recruited from 17 randomly selected senior high schools in the Ashanti Region, Ghana completed a questionnaire assessing modifiable risk factors for cervical cancer and HPV infection including sexual experience, early sexual intercourse (< 18 years), unprotected sex, smoking, sexually transmitted infections (STIs); multiple sexual partners (MSP) and smoking.
Background: In 2018, Eswatini had the world's highest age-standardised cervical cancer incidence rate. Cervical cancer screening reduces women's risk of invasive cervical cancer. Data on adherence to cervical cancer screening recommendations in Eswatini are scarce.

Additional exploratory analyses assessed factors associated with endorsing a specific barrier.
Methods: A telephone survey of 172 community health workers was conducted between July and August 2021.
Introduction: Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer and the second leading cause of cancer death among women in Ghana. HPV vaccination is expected to be added to the national vaccination schedule in 2023. This study aimed to: i) describe intentions to participate in HPV vaccination and ii) explore factors associated with vaccination intentions among female senior high school students in Ghana.

This systematic review used the reach, effectiveness, adoption, implementation, and maintenance (RE-AIM) framework to evaluate telehealth implementation and examine enablers and barriers to optimal implementation in oncology. MEDLINE, PubMed, CINAHL, and the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews were searched between January 2011-June 2022.

Methods: During 2019-2020, a survey was mailed to RACS or RANZCOG Fellows.
Design: Cross-sectional survey.
Corpus callosum dysgenesis is one of the most common congenital neurological malformations. Despite being a clear and identifiable structural alteration of the brain's white matter connectivity, the impact of corpus callosum dysgenesis on cognition and behaviour has remained unclear. Here we build upon past clinical observations in the literature to define the clinical phenotype of corpus callosum dysgenesis better using unadjusted and adjusted group differences compared with a neurotypical sample on a range of social and cognitive measures that have been previously reported to be impacted by a corpus callosum dysgenesis diagnosis.

However, compared to developed countries, the region has lower uptake of cervical cancer screening. Research contribution and progress in the field of cervical cancer in the region has not been well investigated.

In Eswatini, community health workers educate communities about cervical cancer screening. They need to have accurate knowledge about cervical cancer and screening to do this effectively.

We describe the development of a hybrid teleneuropsychology clinic and compare results of six neuropsychological tasks across testing modalities, as well as a participant experience survey.
Method: Healthy middle-aged and older adults completed a face-to-face assessment two years previously.
Objective: Schools are an ideal environment for promoting cervical cancer prevention among young women. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to examine: 1) the effectiveness of school-based education for improving i) knowledge and perceptions of cervical cancer, HPV infection and vaccination, and cervical cancer screening; ii) attitudes and intentions toward, and uptake of HPV vaccination and cervical cancer screening among female students; and 2) the methodological quality of studies testing school-based cervical cancer education.
Methods: Medline, EMBASE, CENTRAL, PsycINFO, CINAHL, Web of Science, and ERIC literature databases were searched from inception to November 2020.
Introduction: Prior studies of telehealth report high levels of patient satisfaction, but within carefully selected clinical scenarios. The COVID-19 pandemic led to telehealth replacing face-to-face care for many surgical consultations across a variety of situations. More evidence is needed regarding patient perceptions of telehealth in surgery, in particular, exploring barriers and facilitators associated with its sustained implementation beyond the pandemic.

There is a need for more evidence regarding the appropriateness of telehealth, as well as greater understanding of barriers to its sustained use within surgery in Australia.

After the Battle Dunbar between English and Scottish forces in 1650, captured Scottish soldiers were imprisoned in Durham and many hundreds died there within a few weeks. The partial skeletal remains of 28 of these men were discovered in 2013. Building on previous osteological work, here we report wide-ranging scientific studies of the remains to address the following questions: Did they have comparable diet, health and disease throughout their lives? Did they have common histories of movement (or lack of movement) during their childhoods? Can we create a collective biography of these men? Strontium and oxygen isotope analysis of tooth enamel investigated childhood movement.

Methods: Breast cancer outpatients (n = 663) from 13 treatment centres completed a survey of perceived involvement in treatment and care decisions in the last month, psychological distress, demographic and clinical factors. A subsample (n = 98) from three centres completed a follow-up survey on preferred and perceived treatment decision making roles.
Purpose: To explore in a sample of adult cancer patients: (1) the relative influence of initiation source, information format and consultation format on preferred approach to life expectancy disclosure using a discrete choice experiment (DCE); and (2) whether patient age, cancer type and perceived prognosis were associated with preferences within the three attributes.
Methods: A DCE survey of adult solid tumour and haematological cancer patients. Participants chose between three hypothetical scenarios about life expectancy disclosure consisting of three attributes: initiation source (i.
Background: Variations in an individual's electronic health (eHealth) literacy may influence the degree to which health consumers can benefit from eHealth. The eHealth Literacy Scale (eHEALS) is a common measure of eHealth literacy. However, the lack of guidelines for the standardized interpretation of eHEALS scores limits its research and clinical utility.

The discordant monozygotic twin (MZ) model controls for shared genetic and environmental factors, enabling focus on the potential role of the non-shared environment.
Methods: DNA methylation data was acquired from DNA extracted from three discordant MZ twin pairs, from both new born blood spots before epilepsy onset, and blood samples taken after epilepsy onset.
