Pathways for Strengthening Lived Experience Leadership for Transformative Systems Change: Reflections on Research and Collective Change Strategies.

Introduction: The Activating Lived Experience Leadership (ALEL) project was a South Australian participatory action research project that aimed to improve the ways lived experience is recognised, valued and integrated across mental health and social sector systems. ALEL was completed during 2019-2021, where it engaged 182 participants in generating community action and research knowledge.

Objective: Our paper discusses the project's processes of building a collective partnership among lived experience leaders and other leaders from within the sector, so that the actions and strategies identified through research could be implemented by systems-level impact.

Targeted inhibition of enzymatic function is a potential therapeutic strategy for treating steatotic liver disease (SLD). The present study is aimed at investigating the effects of the first selective HSD17B13 inhibitor, BI-3231, in a model of hepatocellular lipotoxicity using human cell lines and primary mouse hepatocytes in vitro.

Aim: Recently, a tumor cell-platelet interaction was identified in different tumor entities, resulting in a transfer of tumor-derived RNA into platelets, named further "tumor-educated platelets (TEP)". The present pilot study aims to investigate whether such a tumor-platelet transfer of RNA occurs also in patients suffering from head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC).

Methods: Sequencing analysis of RNA derived from platelets of tumor patients (TPs) and healthy donors (HDs) were performed.

A20 binding inhibitor of nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB)-1 (ABIN-1), a polyubiquitin-binding protein, is a signal-induced autophagy receptor that attenuates NF-κB-mediated inflammation and cell death. The present study aimed to elucidate the potential role of ABIN-1 in mitophagy, a biological process whose outcome is decisive in diverse physiological and pathological settings. Microtubule-associated proteins 1A/1B light chain 3B-II (LC3B-II) was found to be in complex with ectopically expressed hemagglutinin (HA)-tagged-full length (FL)-ABIN-1.

However, climatic and socioeconomic changes influence both water supply and demand, increasing the need to manage this limited and valuable resource properly to avoid user conflicts and water scarcity. Two major challenges emerge when assessing water scarcity in the Alps: Firstly, mountainous regions are very heterogeneous regarding water availability and demand over space and time, and therefore water scarcity assessments need to be done at low temporal and spatial scales.
