: Telenursing comprises a set of tools and interventions enabling nurses to provide remote care. This study aims to assess the impact of telenursing interventions on the supportive care needs of patients with melanoma and lung cancer who are receiving targeted therapies. : This six-month monocentric, double-arm, randomised, controlled trial study protocol will assess the effect of telenursing on the supportive care needs (primary outcome) in 40 patients (20 in each group) after one month.

Methods: A descriptive qualitative study using a phenomenological approach was conducted on a convenience sampling of twenty patients aged 18 years or over from a Cancer Center.
Patient adherence to drug treatment is crucial to the success of any prescribed therapy, especially in chronic conditions. The present phenomenological qualitative study aims to explore the elderly experience in managing their medication therapy and their perception of medication adherence. Based on Husserl's perspective, a qualitative descriptive study was conducted utilizing the phenomenological approach, specifically Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA).

Older adults often face comorbid conditions, polypharmacy (the intake of five or more medications per day), and medication non-adherence, which are common among those with sleep disorders. The purpose of this systematic review is to examine the relationship between sleep quality and medication adherence in older adults and to describe the measuring instruments used.

Although several studies analysed the patient safety approach and strategies, the literature considering the home care setting seems still scarce. The analysis of the phenomenon of medication errors in the primary care setting highlights the necessity of exploring the specific variables to understand how to prevent or reduce the occurrence of a medication error in the home context.

This study aims to survey the views of registered nurses with hospital working experience regarding the personal communication devices use impact in hospital units. The secondary outcome of this study was to identify differences in mobile device use based on demographic and organizational factors.

Objective: The elderly population is the most at risk regarding adherence, especially in the coexistence of multiple diseases. This study aims to detect factors contributing to therapeutic non-adherence in elderly patients in home settings.
Materials And Methods: A review protocol was developed to conduct the umbrella review using the methodological framework of the Richardson et al study.
Nonadherence to therapy negatively impacts mortality and quality of life and results in suboptimal efficacy of treatment regimens, threats to patient safety, and increased healthcare costs for disease management. Mobile health solutions can offer users instruments that can promote therapeutic adherence. The objective of this review is to investigate the impact mobile health systems have on therapeutic adherence.

Design: Cross-sectional study SAMPLE: 106 community nurses provide home care in Cordoba, and are involved in the management of the medication process in the patient's home.
Measurements: Community nurses' knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors toward medication error prevention strategies in-home care.
Background: The intensive care unit (ICU) brings together high-risk patients and interventions in a complex environment. Based on this consideration, medication administration error is the most common type of error that occurs in ICUs. Literature confirms that human factors (lack of knowledge, poor practices and negative attitudes) of nurses are the main contributors to the occurrence of medication administration errors in ICUs.

In this context, the present pilot study aims to translate and validate nursing professionals' knowledge, attitudes and behavior (KAB theory) concerning medication administration errors in ICU from English into Persian. Furthermore, two main objectives of the project were: performing a pilot study among Iranian nurses using the translated questionnaire and carrying out a cultural measurement of the KAB theory concerning medication administration errors in an ICU questionnaire across two groups of Italian and Iranian populations.

Malnutrition is common in hospitalized frail elderly people with cognitive impairment and negatively affects prognosis. Malnutrition worsens the quality of life and increases morbidity and mortality.

Such errors account for 30 to 50 percent of all errors in health care. The literature is replete with systematic reviews of medication errors, with a considerable number of studies focusing on systems and strategies to prevent errors in intensive care units, where these errors occur more frequently; however, to date, there appears to be no study that encapsulates and analyzes the various strategies.

Aim: Nurses use their smartphones during the work shift. The objective of this review is to investigate the presence of bacteria on mobile phones and the procedures to disinfect or decontaminate the smartphone and decrease the infection rate.
Method: This systematic review was carried out through a search on the main scientific databases by following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines.
Background: the world population is aging, and the prevalence of chronic diseases is increasing. Chronic diseases affect the quality of life of patients and contribute toward increased healthcare costs if patients do not adhere to treatment. This study defines the medication adherence levels of patients with chronic diseases.

(1) Background: It is well known that the success of surgical procedures is related to optimal postoperative management and follow-up. In this regard, mHealth technologies could potentially improve perioperative care. Based on these considerations, the objective of this scoping review is to evaluate the current status and use of mHealth interventions designed to provide perioperative care in orthopedic surgery.

Since mucus secretion can be altered in diseases, colon mucins can be regarded as a biomarker of chronic inflammatory bowel diseases or preneoplastic changes. Conventional histochemistry and lectin histochemistry combined with chemical treatment and enzymatic digestion were carried out to analyze the colon mucins in mice fed a high-fat diet for 25 weeks, a period sufficient to induce simple liver steatosis, to check whether the carbohydrate features of mucus can be altered by an inadequate diet.

We have characterized the sialylation pattern of oligosaccharide chains of colonic murine mucins by conventional histochemical methods and by lectin histochemistry combined with chemical pretreatments and sialidase digestion. Oligosaccharide chains are strongly sulphated, with an increase of sulfation from the proximal toward the distal colon and a decrease of sialic acid expression and acetylation toward the distal colon.

During the prereplicative phase of the regeneration, ultrastructural alterations of periportal hepatocytes were seen, including mitochondrial swelling, abnormal accumulation of lipids, and myelin figures which could lead to the formation of lipid droplets. As it has been hypothesized that caveolin-1 is involved in lipidogenesis and in mitochondrial homeostasis, we aimed to study the subcellular distribution of caveolin-1 in hepatocytes at an early stage following PH.

We demonstrated the presence of sialo- and sulfomucins in both the proximal and distal colon of the mouse. In the distal colon the sulfomucins were clearly prevalent, although there were always sialomucins with sialyl residues linked α2,6 to the subterminal galactose.

Little is known about the pathophysiological role of caveolin-1 in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), a condition frequently associated with the metabolic syndrome and characterized by abnormal accumulation of intrahepatic triglycerides with a potentially harmful risk of evolution to liver fibrosis, cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma.
Materials And Methods: Liver steatosis (micro/macrovesicular) was induced in adult rats fed a choline-deficient diet for 14days and compared with a control normal diet.
