Article Synopsis
  • Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection is associated with metabolic syndrome and insulin resistance, with the triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index being a key marker for assessing insulin resistance.
  • A study analyzed data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) to explore the relationship between TyG index levels and H. pylori infection among 2,984 participants.
  • The results showed that higher TyG index values correlated with an increased likelihood of H. pylori infection, particularly in the highest quartile, indicating a need for further research on metabolic health and its impact on H. pylori infection.

Electrochemical oxidation represents an environmentally friendly solution to conventional methods that require caustic stoichiometric chemical oxidants. However, C-H functionalizations merging transition-metal catalysis and electrochemical techniques are, to date, largely confined to the use of precious metals and divided cells. Herein, we report the first examples of copper-catalyzed electrochemical C-H aminations of arenes at room temperature using undivided electrochemical cells, thereby providing a practical solution for the construction of arylamines.

Palladium-catalyzed C-H activation/C-C cross-coupling reactions typically require stoichiometric chemical oxidants and exogenous ligands. However, there are significant disadvantages associated with the use of traditional stoichiometric oxidants. To overcome these issues, we have developed an electrochemical strategy to achieve methylation and acylation.
