Nanoparticle (NP) morphology holds significant importance in nanomedicine, particularly concerning its implications for biological responses. This study investigates the impact of synthesizing polymers with varying degrees of methionine (MET) polymerization on three distinct drug delivery systems: spherical micelles, worm-like micelles, and vesicles, all loaded with the photosensitizer chlorin e6 (Ce6). We analyzed their distribution at both cellular and animal levels, revealing how NP morphology influences cellular uptake, subcellular localization, penetration of multicellular spheroids, blood half-life, and biodistributions across major organs.

This retrospective observational study evaluates BV-based regimens in patients with sALCL, treated from 2020 to 2023.
Methods: A multi-center observational retrospective study was conducted on patients with sALCL received BV plus cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, and prednisone (CHP) upfront or BV plus gemcitabine, oxaliplatin(GemOx), gemcitabine, cisplatin, dexamethasone(GDP), or isocyclophosphamide, carboplatin, etoposide (ICE)for later lines.
Objective: To analyze the clinical characteristics and molecular biomarkers of adult T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (T-LBL) to identify prognostic factors, and to evaluate the efficacy of different chemotherapy regimens, providing a basis for optimizing treatment strategies for T-LBL.
Methods: A total of 89 Patients aged 18-72 years with T-LBL, confirmed via histopathological examination of lymph nodes, extranodal tissues, or bone marrow, were retrospectively included. Clinical data, treatment details, and mutational profiles were collected.
Objectives: To develop and validate the performance of CT-based radiomics models for predicting the prognosis of acute pancreatitis.
Methods: All 344 patients (51 ± 15 years, 171 men) in a first episode of acute pancreatitis (AP) were retrospectively enrolled and randomly divided into training (n = 206), validation (n = 69), and test (n = 69) sets with the ratio of 6:2:2. The patients were dichotomized into good and poor prognosis subgroups based on follow-up CT and clinical data.
Background: Disease progression within 24 months (POD24) significantly impacts overall survival (OS) in patients with follicular lymphoma (FL). This study aimed to develop a robust predictive model, FLIPI-C, using a machine learning approach to identify FL patients at high risk of POD24.
Methods: A cohort of 1,938 FL patients (FL1-3a) from seventeen centers nationwide in China was randomly divided into training and internal validation sets (2:1 ratio).
Poor response to 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) remains an obstacle in the treatment of gastric cancer (GC). Super enhancers (SEs) are crucial for determining tumor cell survival under drug pressure. SE landscapes related to 5-FU-resistance are mapped to GC using chromatin immunoprecipitation-sequencing (ChIP-Seq).

Background: Delayed lead perforation is a rare complication of cardiac implantable electronic device (CIED). Clinical presentations range from completely asymptomatic to pericardial tamponade. Surgical lead extraction is recommended and transvenous lead extraction (TLE) with surgical backup is an alternative method.

The physiological and molecular processes by which glutathione influences Cd tolerance in purple flowering stalks (a Brassica vegetable) remain unclear. The aim of this study was to investigate the role of exogenous GSH in alleviating Cd toxicity in purple flowering stalks.

To gain a deeper understanding of lysosomal functions in cellular physiology and disease mechanisms, we developed a carbazole-based BODIPY lysosomal probe, designated LysoI. This probe specifically targets lysosomes within 15 min and exhibits a Stokes shift of approximately 180 nm, enabling continuous incubation for up to 5 h without the need for washing steps.

Diacetylmorphine abuse is a major social problem that jeopardizes the world, and abuse can cause serious neurological disorders. Apoptosis plays an important role in neurological diseases. A previous study by our group found that the brain tissue of diacetylmorphine-addicted rats showed severe vacuole-like degeneration and increased apoptosis, but the exact mechanism has not yet been reported.

Objective: To explore the clinical characteristics and prognosis of patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) of the breast.
Methods: The clinical data of 28 DLBCL patients admitted to Shanxi Provincial Cancer Hospital from January 2013 to January 2023 were retrospectively analysed, including 13 cases of primary breast DLBCL (PB-DLBCL) and 15 cases of secondary breast DLBCL (SB-DLBCL), and the data of their clinical manifestations, laboratory tests, pathological examinations, treatment protocols, and follow-up were statistically analyzed.
Results: There were significant differences in IPI score, LDH level and β- microglobulin between PB-DLBCL and SB-DLBCL patients ( < 0.
Tucidinostat has been approved by the Chinese FDA for relapsed/refractory Peripheral T cell lymphoma (PTCL), but its efficacy in newly diagnosed PTCL has not been confirmed. In this study, we aimed to compare the efficacy of tucidinostat combined with CHOP-like (C + CHT) versus CHOP-like alone (CHT) in newly diagnosed PTCL patients. Of the PTCL patients, 109 were newly diagnosed.

Diacetylmorphine (DA) abuse can result in severe arrhythmias and even sudden death. Although previous research has connected ion channel proteins to arrhythmia occurrences, the precise mechanism underlying DA-induced arrhythmias remains poorly understood. This study conducted a comprehensive analysis of the myocardial toxicity of DA by applying proteomic and histopathological approaches and investigated the underlying mechanisms using in vitro experiments.

By utilizing the K-means algorithm in the supergroup algorithm to conduct a survey of visitors to Museum A and analyze the behavior of 180 selected visitors, the display effect and audience satisfaction can be improved. Various knowledge graph technologies were utilized to construct a knowledge graph of museum cultural relics.

We evaluated plasmas and sera for interleukins (IL)-11, IL-6, IL-8, IL-17A, and IL-33 as biomarkers in primary NSCLC patients undergoing surgical treatment against normal volunteers. Exhaled-breath condensates (EBCs), a potential source without invasive procedures, were explored in normal individuals.

Herein, we constructed a PEGylated dendritic epirubicin (Epi) prodrug (Epi-P4D) to regulate the metabolism of cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs), thus enhancing Epi penetration into both multicellular tumor spheroids (MTSs) and tumor tissues in mouse colon cancer (CT26), mouse breast cancer (4T1) and human breast cancer (MDA-MB-231) models. Enhanced cytotoxicity against CT26 MTSs and remarkable antitumor efficacy of Epi-P4D were ascribed to reduced fibronectin, -SMA, and collagen secretion.

The higher viscosity and lower pH in lysosomes of cancer cells highlight their potential as biomarkers for cancer. Therefore, the development of acid-activated viscosity fluorescent probes is significant for the early diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Based on this, we have designed and synthesized a near-infrared fluorescent probe based on the 2-(2-hydroxyphenyl)benzothiazole (HBT) group, namely HBTH, to monitor the viscosity changes within lysosomes.
