Rationale: Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a chronic inflammatory gastrointestinal disease typically coexisting with intestinal microbiota dysbiosis, oxidative stress, and an inflammatory response. Although its underlying mechanism of action is unclear, Ma-Mu-Ran Antidiarrheal Capsules (MMRAC) have demonstrated significant therapeutic efficacy for UC.
Methods: The mechanism of action of MMRAC in the treatment of UC model was investigated by combining metabolomics, transcriptomics, and intestinal microbiota detection techniques.
Environmental monitoring systems based on remote sensing technology have a wider monitoring range and longer timeliness, which makes them widely used in the detection and management of pollution sources. However, haze weather conditions degrade image quality and reduce the precision of environmental monitoring systems. To address this problem, this research proposes a remote sensing image dehazing method based on the atmospheric scattering model and a dark channel prior constrained network.

Pomegranate, as a "secret" for people in Xinjiang, China and India, is commonly used for treating different types of anemia.
Objective: This study aimed to identify potential proteins of FA and to discover potential drugs from pomegranates.
As a well-known Uyghur medicine, Shi-Liu-Bu-Xue Syrup (SLBXS) has been widely used to treat anemia in China for over 20 years. However, the underlying mechanisms of its effectiveness in treating anemia remain unclear. In this study, liver metabolomics was primarily employed to determine the potential regulatory mechanisms of SLBXS in treating anemia.

First, ultra-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) was used to examine the composition of XGHP, and network pharmacology was used to predict its potential core targets and signaling pathways in the current study. Second, a rat model of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) was established for assessing the anti-COPD activity of XGHP, and metabolomics was used to explore the biomarkers and metabolic pathways.

In this study, we established a mouse model of UC using dextran sulfate sodium. Colonic tissues were collected from mice and then subjected to hematoxylin and eosin staining, as well as histopathological analysis, to assess the therapeutic effect of MMRAC.

Xixin-Ganjiang Herb Pair (XGHP), a classic combination treatment to warm the lungs and dissolve phlegm, is widely used in the treatment of various pulmonary diseases. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) refers to a group of chronic obstructive airway diseases that can seriously harm human health. However, the effective components, targets, and pathways that underlie XGHP in the treatment of COPD remain unclear.

In China, Ma-Mu-Ran Antidiarrheal Capsules (MMRAC) have been applied against diarrhea caused by AE and bacillary dysentery for many years, but the underlying mechanisms of their beneficial effects are not known. In the present study, network pharmacology and metabolomics were performed to clarify the active ingredients of MMRAC and explore the specific mechanism of MMRAC on AE mice.

Our model uses a multi-stage transformer architecture similar to that of ResNet-50 to represent appropriate perceptual mechanisms in image quality assessment (IQA) to build an accurate IQA model. We employ adaptive learnable position embedding to handle images with arbitrary resolution.

In breast cancer, tumor-associated macrophages with activated phenotypes promote tumor invasion and metastasis. The more aggressive mesenchymal-like breast cancer cells have a selective advantage, skewing macrophages toward the more immunosuppressive subtype. However, the mechanism underlying this shift is poorly understood.
