This longitudinal study examined how active gastrointestinal (GI) cancer types affect immune responses to SARS-CoV-2, focusing on the ability to neutralize the Omicron variants. Patients with GI cancer ( = 168) were categorized into those with hepatocellular carcinoma, hepatic metastatic GI cancer, non-hepatic metastatic GI cancer, and two control groups of patients with and without underlying liver diseases. Humoral and cellular immune responses were evaluated before and after Omicron antigen exposures.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to examine how the "wait-and-see" recommendation affects adolescents' understanding of their illness and symptoms and their care-seeking behavior.
Methods: This study included brief qualitative, semi-structured online interviews. Adolescents (age 10-19 years) with long-term knee pain, who had been recommended "wait-and-see" by their general practitioner (GP), were recruited via previous studies and social media.
Introduction: The aims of this multicenter, practice-based cohort study were to evaluate the success and survival of endodontically treated teeth with post restorations (ETT+Ps) and to analyze factors associated with the longevity of ETT+Ps.
Methods: Eight general dental practitioners each placed up to 27 ETT+Ps without any restriction to post materials or dimensions. Only incisors, canines, and premolars were included.

We explore methamphetamine users' perceptions about whether the images, people, and situations in anti-methamphetamine campaigns reflect their own lives and experiences using meth.
Methods: To explore these perceptions, we used photo-elicitation interviews with 47 people who used methamphetamine (30 former and 17 active).

This case report relates to a patient with giant condyloma acuminatum, also called Buschke-Löwenstein tumor, with paraneoplastic hypercalcemia, who was successfully treated with conservative treatment.
Case Presentation: The patient in question is a 48-year-old German man with a giant periscrotal tumor.
To understand the system of secreted proteins and receptors involved in cell-cell signaling, we produced a comprehensive set of recombinant secreted proteins and the extracellular domains of transmembrane proteins, which constitute most of the protein components of the extracellular space. Each protein was tested in a suite of assays that measured metabolic, growth, or transcriptional responses in diverse cell types. The pattern of responses across assays was analyzed for the degree of functional selectivity of each protein.

Principle Findings: Here we demonstrate that treatment of an enriched CD4(+) lymphocyte population with lovastatin (Lov), mevastatin (Mev) and simvastatin (activated and non-activated, Sim(A) and Sim(N), respectively) can reduce the cell surface expression of the CC-chemokine receptor CCR5 (P<0.01 for Sim(A) and Lov).
The involvement of superantigens in the pathology of cutaneous T-cell lymphomas (CTCL) has been suggested before, but without unequivocal evidence for superantigen activity in the patients. Seeking evidence for superantigen activity we analysed clones and microdissected single cells isolated from the epidermis of early-stage lesions of a CTCL patient for their T-cell receptor (TCR) V beta expression and TCR V gamma gene rearrangements.
