Circadian rhythm disruption, commonly caused by factors such as jet lag and shift work, is increasingly recognized as a critical factor impairing wound healing. Although melatonin is known to regulate circadian rhythms and has potential in wound repair, its clinical application is limited by low bioavailability. To address these challenges, we developed an alginate-based dual-network hydrogel as a delivery system for melatonin, ensuring its stable and sustained release at the wound site.

This paper investigates the issue of event-triggered adaptive optimal tracking control for uncertain nonlinear systems with stochastic disturbances and dynamic state constraints. To handle the dynamic state constraints, a novel unified tangent-type nonlinear mapping function is proposed. A neural networks (NNs)-based identifier is designed to cope with the stochastic disturbances.

Periodontitis is a type of systemic immune inflammation that is caused by the complex infection of a variety of microorganisms in the subgingival plaque and the imbalance of the microbial ecological environment in the mouth. Periodontitis and chronic kidney disease (CKD) share many risk factors, such as obesity, smoking, and age. A growing body of data supports a strong correlation between periodontitis and kidney disease.

An important factor in periodontitis pathogenesis relates to a network of interactions of various cytokines. Thrombospondin-1 (TSP-1) is upregulated in several inflammatory diseases. We previously found that Porphyromonas gingivalis lipopolysaccharide (P.

An analytical H2 controller design approach of homogeneous multi-agent systems with time delays is presented to improve consensus performance. Firstly, a closed-loop multi-input multi-output framework in frequency domain is introduced, and a consensus tracking condition is given. Secondly, the decomposition method is utilized to simplify the analysis of internal stability and H2 performance index of the whole system to a set of independent optimization problems.

In this paper a novel ratio control scheme is proposed for stable and unstable processes with time delay. The proposed ratio control system consists of two control loops with two-degrees-of-freedom control structure, which decouples the set-point response of each loop from its disturbance response. Two ratio controllers separately for the set-point and load disturbance changes are introduced between the two control loops, in order to achieve improved ratio control performance during the transients caused by the set-point and disturbance changes and to decouple the set-point response of the whole ratio control system from its disturbance response.

In recent decades, several optimization-based methods have been developed for the proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller design, and the common feature of these methods is that the controller has only one adjustable parameter. To keep the closed-loop systems stable is an essential requirement for the optimization-based PID controllers. In almost all these methods, however, no exact stability region for the single adjustable parameter was sketched.
