Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to assess how effective dual source dual energy computed tomography (DS-DECT) is for diagnosing benign and malignant thyroid nodules using data from 60 patients treated surgically.
  • Results showed DS-DECT had a perfect diagnosis accuracy of 100%, with significant differences found in iodine content between benign and malignant nodules, particularly in the venous phase.
  • The optimal iodine concentration and standardized CT values for distinguishing between the two types of nodules were identified, achieving high sensitivity and specificity in diagnoses.

A simple and sensitive electrochemical method was developed for ampicillin detection based on the protective effect of aptamer-antibiotic conjugate towards endonuclease DpnII activity. Without ampicillin, DNA aptamer firstly hybridizes with the capture probe to form double strand DNA (dsDNA) structure. Then, dsDNA is cleaved by DpnII restriction endonuclease to form two dsDNA fragments.
