Thermal management using a vapor-liquid two-phase circulation system is challenging in compact and complex-shaped electronic devices. In this study, we design and fabricate a heat pipe that can adapt to various shapes, regardless of space constraints. The heat pipe is capable of bending or twisting in three dimensions, making it suitable for electronic devices of arbitrary shapes.

However, endogenous iron primarily exists within ferroxidase FTH1 in the Fe (III)-bound state, hindering the effective catalysis of the Fenton reaction. Herein, an endogenous iron(II) self-enriched Fenton nanocatalyst (BAI@cLANCs) is fabricated by encapsulating the FTH1 inhibitor baicalin (BAI) in cross-linked lipoic acid nanocarriers (cLANCs) to amplify endogenous ferroptosis.

Methods: A search strategy was developed and implemented to systematically review literature across PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, MEDLINE (via EBSCOhost), CINAHL, the Cochrane Library, Scopus, China Knowledge Resource Integrated Database (CNKI), Wanfang Data, Chinese Biomedical Database (CBM), and Weipu Database (VIP), in accordance with the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Our search encompassed studies published up to June 28, 2024, that investigated the prevalence or risk factors of oral frailty among older adults.
The proliferation of flexible pressure sensors has generated new demands for high-sensitivity and low-cost sensors. Here, we propose an elegant strategy to address this challenge by taking a ridge-mimicking, gradient-varying, spatially ordered microstructure as the sensing layer, with laser processing and interdigitated electrodes as the upper and lower electrode layers. Simultaneously, the entire structure is encapsulated with polyimide (PI) tape for protection, and the fabrication process is relatively feasible, facilitating easy scaling.

Methods: Literature retrieval, semi-structured interview and Delphi method were conducted for initially formulation of the draft of hierarchical management system for specialist nurses. Forty-three specialist nurses and 14 nursing managers were selected for the study, using a non-randomized controlled experimental study design, and at the end of the study, the job satisfaction, job engagement, job exuberance, advice behaviors and nursing managers' overall job satisfaction of specialist nurses were compared before and after the hierarchical management.

The karst landscape, a typical geomorphology in China, demands a deeper understanding of microplastics pollution in such areas. This research zeroes in on Guizhou, a province known for its karst formations, by collecting soil samples from the mulched cultivation layer in ten counties and cities.

Methods: Sleep-related information was assessed by the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index in baseline surveys during the 6-15 (mean 10.3) gestational weeks.
Background: Calcium-free (Ca-free) solutions are theoretically the most ideal for regional citrate anticoagulation (RCA) in continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT). However, the majority of medical centers in China had to make a compromise of using commercially available calcium-containing (Ca-containing) solutions instead of Ca-free ones due to their scarcity. This study was designed to probe into the potential of Ca-containing solution as a secure and efficient substitution for Ca-free solutions.

Context: Chronic low-grade inflammation may play a crucial role in the pathogenesis of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). However, prospective studies on the relations of inflammatory blood cell parameters during pregnancy with GDM are lacking.
Objective: To prospectively investigate the associations of inflammatory blood cell parameters in both early and middle pregnancy, and their change patterns from early to middle pregnancy, with GDM risk.
Objective: To examine the association of a combined healthy lifestyle in early pregnancy with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) risk.
Design, Setting And Population: A Chinese prospective cohort study with 6980 pregnant women.
Methods: Individual modifiable lifestyle factors were assessed in early pregnancy and a combined lifestyle score was derived from the sum of the lifestyle factors, with a higher score indicating a healthier lifestyle.
Background: Liver plays an important role in maintaining glucose homeostasis. We aimed to examine the associations of liver enzymes and hepatic steatosis index (HSI, a reliable biomarker for non-alcoholic fatty liver disease) in early pregnancy with subsequent GDM risk, as well as the potential mediation effects of lipid metabolites on the association between HSI and GDM.
Methods: In a birth cohort, liver enzymes were measured in early pregnancy (6-15 gestational weeks, mean 10) among 6,860 Chinese women.
Background: Evidence regarding prepregnancy weight change and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is lacking among East Asian women.
Objectives: Our study aimed to investigate the association between weight change from age 18 y to pregnancy and GDM in Chinese pregnant women.
Methods: Our analyses included 6972 pregnant women from the Tongji-Shuangliu Birth Cohort.
Lung cancer with the highest mortality poses a great threat to human health. Ferroptosis therapy has recently been raised as a promising strategy for lung cancer treatment by boosting the reactive species (ROS) production and lipid peroxidation (LPO) accumulation intracellularly. However, the insufficient intracellular ROS level and the unsatisfactory drug accumulation in lung cancer lesions hamper the efficacy of ferroptosis therapy.

The aim of our study is to reveal the hub genes related to the pathogenesis of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) and their association with immune cell infiltration through bioinformatics analysis combined with experimental validation. In this study, through differential gene expression analysis, 1,516 upregulated and 1,307 downregulated DEG were obtained from dataset GSE136825 of the GEO database. We identified 14 co-expressed modules using weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA), among which the most significant positive and negative correlations were MEgreen and MEturquoise modules, containing 1,540 and 3,710 genes respectively.

Cilia are fundamental functional structures in natural biology. As the primary option of artificial cilia, magnetic cilia have been drawing extensive attention due to their excellent biocompatibility, sensitive response, and contactless actuation. However, most of the ordered magnetic cilia are fabricated by molds, suffering from high cost and low efficiency.

Soluplus® nanomicelles have been widely reported in biomedical field for their excellent drug loading capacity and solubility enhancement ability. However, when administrated in vivo, the protein corona will be formed on Soluplus® nanomicelles, significantly affecting their drug delivery performance. Up to now, few studies examined the protein corona formation process and its impact factors of Soluplus® nanomicelles.
