With the increasing prevalence of mental illness, accurate clinical diagnosis of mental illness is crucial. Compared with MRI, CT has the advantages of wide application, low price, short scanning time, and high patient cooperation. This study aims to construct a deep learning (DL) model based on CT images to make identification of bipolar disorder (BD) and schizophrenia (SZ).

Methods: A total of 383 patients with TS (n = 182) or BS (n = 201) were enrolled from April 2013 to May 2023 and randomly divided into training (n = 307) and validation (n = 76) sets. Sagittal T1WI, T2WI, and fat-suppressed (FS) T2WI images were used to construct single-sequence DL models and combined models based on VGG19, VGG16, ResNet18, and DenseNet121 network.
Superficial temporal artery-middle cerebral artery (STA-MCA) bypass surgery represents the primary treatment for Moyamoya disease (MMD), with its efficacy contingent upon collateral vessel development. This study aimed to develop and validate a machine learning (ML) model for the non-invasive assessment of STA-MCA bypass surgery efficacy in MMD. This study enrolled 118 MMD patients undergoing STA-MCA bypass surgery.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFLipopolysaccharide (LPS) has been associated with adverse developmental outcomes, including intra-uterine fetal death (IUFD) and intra-uterine growth retardation (IUGR). However, the exact mechanism for LPS-induced IUFD and IURD remains unclear. LPS stimulates macrophages to generate reactive oxygen species (ROS).

Lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced downregulation on PXR and cyp3a11 in adult mouse liver has been well characterized. In this study, we investigated the effects of maternal LPS exposure on PXR and cyp3a11 expression in fetal mouse liver.

The multidrug resistance 1 (MDR1) gene belongs to the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) family. Pregnane X receptor (PXR) is a nuclear receptor that regulates its target gene transcription in a ligand-dependent manner.

Our earlier study indicated that reactive oxygen species contribute to lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced down-regulation of PXR and its target gene CYP3A in mouse liver. Melatonin is a powerful endogenous antioxidants.

The in vivo effects of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) on expression of PXR and its target gene cytochrome P450 3A (CYP3A) in mouse liver were investigated in this study. Mice were injected intraperitoneally with different doses of LPS (0.
