Creating and Deleting a Single Dipolar Skyrmion by Surface Spin Twists.

We report deterministic operations on single dipolar skyrmions confined in nanostructured cuboids by using in-plane currents. We achieve highly reversible writing and deleting of skyrmions in a simple cuboid without any artificial defects or pinning sites. The current-induced creation of skyrmions is well-understood through the spin-transfer torque acting on surface spin twists of the spontaneous 3D ferromagnetic state, caused by the magnetic dipole-dipole interaction of the uniaxial FeSn magnet with a low-quality factor.

A case of Saturday night retinopathy following postoperative orbital compression bandaging: Diagnosis and evaluation using multimodal imaging.

We report a rare case of Saturday Night Retinopathy (SNR) following postoperative orbital compression bandaging, highlighting the value of multimodal imaging in diagnosis and management. A 24-year-old male underwent surgical repair of an inferior orbital wall fracture with an absorbable implant, followed by compression bandaging of the right eye for three days. Upon bandage removal, the patient experienced a significant drop in visual acuity (VA) from 20/20 to 20/200.

Methods: Serum immunoglobin (Ig) G antibodies against CMV and EBV were measured in patients with NMOSD and healthy controls (HCs), including anti-CMV, anti-EBV nuclear antigen-1 (EBNA-1), anti-EBV virus capsid antigen (VCA), and anti-EBV early antigen (EA) IgGs.

We compared the prognosis of Tibetan and Han Chinese patients with neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD). The Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) score at each attack, response to immunosuppressive therapy, risk of first relapse, severe attack, visual disability, motor disability, and total risk of disability were compared between Tibetan and Han Chinese patients. Tibetan patients showed higher EDSS during acute attacks.

In this study, we found that the expression of CD9 was increased in transaortic constriction (TAC) myocardial tissue. Knockdown of CD9 alleviated damage to cardiac function in the TAC model and reduced heart weight, cardiomyocyte size, and degree of fibrosis, and vice versa.
