We report deterministic operations on single dipolar skyrmions confined in nanostructured cuboids by using in-plane currents. We achieve highly reversible writing and deleting of skyrmions in a simple cuboid without any artificial defects or pinning sites. The current-induced creation of skyrmions is well-understood through the spin-transfer torque acting on surface spin twists of the spontaneous 3D ferromagnetic state, caused by the magnetic dipole-dipole interaction of the uniaxial FeSn magnet with a low-quality factor.

A 24-year-old male underwent surgical repair of an inferior orbital wall fracture with an absorbable implant, followed by compression bandaging of the right eye for three days. Upon bandage removal, the patient experienced a significant drop in visual acuity (VA) from 20/20 to 20/200.

Methods: Serum immunoglobin (Ig) G antibodies against CMV and EBV were measured in patients with NMOSD and healthy controls (HCs), including anti-CMV, anti-EBV nuclear antigen-1 (EBNA-1), anti-EBV virus capsid antigen (VCA), and anti-EBV early antigen (EA) IgGs.
N-Methyladenosine (mA) prevalently occurs on cellular RNA across almost all kingdoms of life. It governs RNA fate and is essential for development and stress responses. However, the dynamic, context-dependent mA methylomes across tissues and in response to various stimuli remain largely unknown in multicellular organisms.

NMOSD is presently categorized as anti-AQP4-antibody (Ab) positive or negative based on AQP4-Ab presence. The association between antibody titers and patient prognosis remains unclear.

Current treatment options are mainly symptomatic therapy. Antivirals, antibiotics, and glucocorticoids are of limited benefit for most infections.

CH has been identified as a significant risk factor for the development of various cardiovascular diseases, ultimately resulting in heart failure. Melanoma differentiation-associated protein 5 (MDA5), encoded by interferon-induced with helicase C domain 1 (IFIH1), is a cytoplasmic sensor that primarily functions as a detector of double-stranded ribonucleic acid (dsRNA) viruses in innate immune responses; however, its role in CH pathogenesis remains unclear.

The Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) score at each attack, response to immunosuppressive therapy, risk of first relapse, severe attack, visual disability, motor disability, and total risk of disability were compared between Tibetan and Han Chinese patients. Tibetan patients showed higher EDSS during acute attacks.

We aimed to describe the clinical features of patients with NMOSD in different age groups and sexes and to analyse relapse characteristics pre- and post-immunosuppressive therapy (IST).
Methods: Patients with NMOSD were retrospectively reviewed from our clinical centre's database.
Background: Cardiac hypertrophy (CH) is a well-established risk factor for many cardiovascular diseases and a primary cause of mortality and morbidity among older adults. Currently, no pharmacological interventions have been specifically tailored to treat CH. OTUD7B (ovarian tumor domain-containing 7B) is a member of the ovarian tumor-related protease (OTU) family that regulates many important cell signaling pathways.

In this study, we found that the expression of CD9 was increased in transaortic constriction (TAC) myocardial tissue. Knockdown of CD9 alleviated damage to cardiac function in the TAC model and reduced heart weight, cardiomyocyte size, and degree of fibrosis, and vice versa.

They are distinguished by an integer topological charge Q. The presence of skyrmion bundles provides an opportunity to explore the range of values for Q, which is crucial for the advancement of topological spintronic devices with multi-Q properties.

Objective: To investigate the correlation among body mass index at onset, clinical features, and prognosis in patients with neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder.
Method: This retrospective cohort studied patients with neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder from January 2015 to January 2022, grouping them by body mass index at onset. Demographics and clinical records were reviewed.
Background And Objectives: Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) is an autoimmune inflammatory disease of the central nervous system characterized by simultaneous or consecutive episodes of acute optic neuritis and transverse myelitis. Attacks of NMOSD can result in the accrual of severe visual disability over time. This study aimed to develop and validate prognostic models for visual disability risk within 1, 3, and 5 years.

Patients begin with a relapsing-remitting (RR) course, and more than 80% of them may advance to secondary progressive MS (SPMS), which is characteristic for the gradual decline of neurological functions without demonstrated treating method to prevent. This study aims to investigate the contribution of peripheral CD8 + T cells during the conversion from RRMS to SPMS, as well as reveal potential diagnostic signature in distinguishing SPMS.

Background: Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders (NMOSD) may have a great impact on patients' marriage, and marital status may also affect patients' compliance and prognosis. We investigated the marital status of 494 NMOSD patients in China to explore the mutual influence between them.
Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted by the online questionnaires or telephone follow-up.
Purpose: To compare the optical coherence tomography (OCT)/OCT angiography (OCTA) measures in patients with neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) and myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody disease (MOGAD).
Methods: Twenty-one MOG, 21 NMOSD, and 22 controls were enrolled in our study. The retinal structure [retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) and ganglion cell-inner plexiform layer (GCIPL)] was imaged and assessed with the OCT; OCTA was used to image the macula microvasculature [superficial vascular plexus (SVP), intermediate capillary plexus (ICP), and deep capillary plexus (DCP)].
