Background: Although many studies have demonstrated a lower incidence of sudden cardiac arrest or death (SCA/D) in female athletes than in male, there is limited understanding of the specific underlying causes.
Objective: This systematic review aimed to assess the disparities in SCA/D incidence between male and female competitive athletes and explore the associated etiologies.
Methods: A comprehensive search was conducted for retrospective and prospective studies examining SCA/D incidence in male and female athletes.
Background: Mitochondrial fusion and fission are critical for the morphology and function of cells. DNM1L encodes dynamin-related protein 1 (DRP1), a key protein mediating mitochondrial fission, which is upregulated in a variety of cancers and is strongly associated with tumorigenesis. In response to the current policy of high storage capacity, two-dimensional (2D) materials have revealed promising prospects as high-performance electrode materials. MoB, as a type of such material, is widely regarded as an anode candidate for Li-ion batteries due to its large specific surface area and abundant ion diffusion channels; the long-term cycling stability, however, is poor owing to material pulverization during the cycle. Therefore, MoB/SiN heterojunction in this work is proposed as an anode material, with SiN acting as a skeleton, maintaining the stability of the structure, while retaining the high energy storage properties of MoB as well.

The Orf virus (ORFV) is a member of the Parapoxvirus genus of the Poxviridae family and can cause contagious diseases in sheep, goats, and wild ungulates. In the present study, two ORFV isolates (ORFV-SC isolated from Sichuan province and ORFV-SC1 produced by 60 passages of ORFV-SC in cells) were sequenced and compared to multiple ORFVs.
