Background: More and more evidence suggests a close association between depression and hepatobiliary diseases, but its causal relationship is not yet clear.
Method: Using genome-wide association studies (GWAS) to summarize data, independent genetic variations associated with depression were selected as instrumental variables. Firstly, we designed a univariate Mendelian randomization (UVMR) analysis with two samples and simultaneously conducted reverse validation to evaluate the potential bidirectional causal relationship between depression and various hepatobiliary diseases.

Cancer prevention is a promising way to limit the intestinal tumor incidence rate; however, challenges remain. Qingchang Wenzhong decoction (QCWZD) can clinically treat mild to moderate ulcerative colitis symptoms.

As a common disease worldwide, alcoholic liver injury is caused by long-term or excessive intake of alcohol and triggers cell death due to alcohol metabolism and reactive oxygen species(ROS)-mediated cytotoxicity. Wangshi Baochi(WSBC) Pills have been widely adopted in clinical practice for evacuating stasis, resolving turbidity, clearing heat, tranquilizing mind, invigorating sto-mach, promoting digestion, purging fire and removing toxin. This study aimed to investigate the efficacy of WSBC Pills in dispelling the effect of alcohol and protecting against acute alcoholic liver/stomach injury in mice, and preliminarily investigate its possible mole-cular mechanism.

Intestinal microbiota plays an important role in the occurrence and development of colorectal cancer. Studies have shown that the behavior of intestinal microbiota can lead to pathological changes in the host intestine, which can be divided into epigenetic changes and carcinogenic changes at the gene level, and ultimately promote the formation and development of colorectal cancer.

Nevertheless, targeting redox signaling pathways constitutes a promising therapy in OIPN and we have previously demonstrated the protective role of nuclear factor erythroid-2 related factor 2 (NRF2) in this disorder. Here, we investigated the protective properties of formononetin (FN), a clinical preparation extract, in OIPN.

Enhancer of zeste homologue 2 (EZH2) and Heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) are two key factors in patients resistance and deterioration.
Methods: In total, 58 MDS patients were divided into four groups.
