To explore the mechanism by which vinegar-processed Euphorbiae Pekinensis Radix regulates gut microbiota and reduces intestinal toxicity, this study aimed to identify key microbial communities related to vinegar-induced detoxification and verify their functions. Using a derivatization method, the study measured the content of short-chain fatty acids(SCFAs) in feces before and after vinegar-processing of Euphorbiae Pekinensis Radix. Combined with the results of previous gut microbiota sequencing, correlation analysis was used to identify key microbial communities related to SCFAs content.

Constructing hemostats capable of effectively controlling severe hemorrhage from irregular wounds presents significant challenges and imperatives. In this study, a novel approach is introduced using nanofibrous chitin microspheres (NCM) that are compressed to 60% strain (NCM-60%) to amplify their water-initiated expansion performance. This unique capacity allows NCM-60% to efficiently conform to and fill irregular bleeding cavities, even those of varying depths and curvatures, thereby promoting rapid blood coagulation at deep hemorrhage sites.

Patients with confirmed diagnosis of NSCLC were randomly (1:1 ratio) grouped and treated intravenously with a mixture of pemetrexed (500 mg/m) and cisplatin (75 mg/m2) plus Best Supportive Care (BSC), or ramucirumab (8 mg/kg) intravenously (IV) + erlotinib 25 mg/day. Overall survival (OS), overall response rate (ORR), progression free survival (PFS), and the safety were assessed.

However, the number of FFS method is considerably less than that of BFS method. More efficient FFS methods need to be developed.

The gene expression data are usually provided with a large number of genes and a relatively small number of samples, which brings a lot of new challenges. Selecting those informative genes becomes the main issue in microarray data analysis. Recursive cluster elimination based on support vector machine (SVM-RCE) has shown the better classification accuracy on some microarray data sets than recursive feature elimination based on support vector machine (SVM-RFE).

Background: Recent studies have reported germline mutations in the perforin gene (PRF1) in some types of hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH). However, the prevalence of PRF1 mutations in HLH in Chinese pediatric patients has not been extensively studied. The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence of mutations and sequence variations in the PRF1 gene in Chinese pediatric patients with HLH.

The characteristics of CAEBV in Mainland Chinese pediatric patients are largely unreported. The main aims of this survey were to recognize the clinical features of CAEBV in children and to explore its diagnostic criteria and risk factors.
