Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to assess how effective whole-lesion histogram apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values are in understanding the heterogeneity of mucinous breast carcinoma (MBC) and identifying which ADC metrics could help distinguish MBC subtypes.
  • A total of 52 MBC patients were analyzed, comparing pure MBC (PMBC) and mixed MBC (MMBC) case groups using diffusion-weighted imaging and various ADC parameters.
  • Results showed that certain ADC values were significantly higher in the PMBC group compared to MMBC and that specific percentiles were especially effective in differentiating between PMBC subtypes, indicating that ADC histogram analysis could be a valuable tool in conjunction with traditional MRI.

Objective: To investigate the role of multiphasic spiral computed tomography (SCT) in the differential diagnosis of small renal cell carcinoma.

Methods: The data of 100 patients with small renal cell carcinoma (< or = 3.0 cm) proved by pathology were retrospectively reviewed in order to analyze the features of SCT during plain, corticomedullary and excretory phases.
