Background: Autistic adults are significantly unemployed or underemployed even compared with other disability groups. Employment is a social determinant that, when satisfied, closely influences health-related quality of life. For autistic adults, environmental barriers to transportation can impact the ability to get to employment resulting in limited employment opportunities.

Creating the Global Criminal Justice Survey: A Questionnaire Designed to Gather Perspectives from the Autism Community and Criminal Justice Professionals.

Autistic people's perceptions of their interactions with criminal justice professionals are predominantly negative; however, little is known about the state of interactions on a global scale. To further understanding, a comprehensive stakeholder questionnaire was created. Aspects of reliability and validity including evidence for test content and internal structure were gathered using expert reviews, cognitive interviewing, pilot data collection, and a larger data collection effort (N = 1618).

The state of structured reporting: the nuance of standardized language.

Radiology reports are the principal form of communication with the referring provider. Unfortunately, they can be a form of communication riddled with errors and inscrutable statements burying the intended meaning, failing to achieve the main task for which it was made: communicating key imaging findings as they pertain to the clinical question being posed. Structured reporting is a multifaceted and modular solution to problematic reports, with variable iterations and benefits.

Compliance With Skeletal Surveys for Child Abuse in General Hospitals: A Statewide Quality Improvement Process.

The purpose of this study is to perform a statewide quality improvement process to improve compliance with the American College of Radiology (ACR) guidelines in performing skeletal surveys for suspected child abuse. We prospectively identified all outside hospital skeletal surveys for suspected child abuse in children younger than 3 years referred to our tertiary children's hospital in 2016-2017. We included a 3-month baseline and 21-month intervention period.

Superior vena cava syndrome in a patient with locally advanced lung cancer with good response to definitive chemoradiation: a case report.

Background: The incidence of superior vena cava syndrome within the United States is roughly 15,000 cases per year. Superior vena cava syndrome is a potentially life-threatening medical condition; however, superior vena cava syndrome is not fatal in the majority of cases. Superior vena cava syndrome encompasses a collection of signs and symptoms resulting from obstruction of the superior vena cava, including swelling of the upper body of the head, neck, arms, and/or breast.
