A gastric lymphoid tumor with involvement of regional lymph nodes and spleen was diagnosed in an 8-year-old crossbreed male dog with a 6-month history of gastrointestinal disease. Despite surgical excision and palliative therapy (prednisolone and cimetidine), the dog was euthanatized due to worsening of clinical signs. At necropsy, multiple white, solid, nodular, infiltrative masses were observed in the stomach, duodenum, spleen, liver, and lungs in association with generalized lymph node enlargement.

This study investigated whether luteal phase initiation of FSH supplementation would improve oocyte yield compared with follicular phase administration in women with poor ovarian response (POR). A two-arm, randomized, open-label pilot trial was performed at a university-based infertility centre. In nine of 18 infertile women with a history of POR in a previous cycle [<5 follicles on day of human chorionic gonadotrophin (HCG) administration; <5 oocytes retrieved; previous IVF cycle cancellation due to POR] FSH was administered during the mid-luteal phase of the preceding menstrual cycle.

The evaluation of a person seeking or volunteering information in cooperatively or competitively oriented problem solving groups was investigated in 63 white and black, male and female, high school and college students. It was hypothesized that under cooperative conditions the seeking of information would be evaluated more positively than would the volunteering of information, while under competitive conditions the volunteering of information would be evaluated more positively than would the seeking of information. A highly trained confederate (C) engaged in either the seeking of information or the volunteering of information in four-person problem solving groups in which Ss were either cooperatively or competitively oriented.
