A Simple and Efficient Magnesium Hydroxide Modification Strategy for Flame-Retardancy Epoxy Resin.

Magnesium hydroxide, as a green inorganic flame-retardancy additive, has been widely used in polymer flame retardancy. However, magnesium hydroxide is difficult to disperse with epoxy resin (EP), and its flame-retardancy performance is poor, so it is difficult to use in flame-retardant epoxy resin. In this study, an efficient magnesium hydroxide-based flame retardant (MH@PPAC) was prepared by surface modification of 2-(diphenyl phosphine) benzoic acid (PPAC) using a simple method.

Application of Organic Amine Modified Natural Zeolite in Filling Natural Rubber.

In this paper, the method of filling natural rubber with zeolite as filler was mainly studied in the following two aspects: firstly, experiments selected organic amine surface modifier to modify natural zeolite and used infrared spectroscopy to analyze the interaction between the modifier and zeolite, and secondly, studying the application of modified zeolite in natural rubber and using scanning electron microscopy to analyze the mechanism of action between zeolite and natural rubber. The test results show that octadecylamine in the modifier had the relatively best effect. Under the best conditions, the activation index of the modified product could reach 95% and above, and the contact angle could reach about 100°.

Hydrogen Bonds in Bis(1H-benzimidazole-κN3)cadmium(II) Dibenzoate: Hirshfeld Surface Analysis and AIM Perspective.

The coordination complex bis(1H-benzimidazole-κN3)cadmium(II) dibenzoate has been synthesized and characterized by single crystal diffraction analysis. Cadmium center is six coordinated and formed a distorted octahedron coordinated geometry. The Hirshfeld analysis shows that in the dnorm-surface of the compound, there are dark red spots near the hydrogen-bonds acceptor and donor atoms, while intermolecular interactions result in faint-red spots.
