Heat shock protein 70 (HSP70)-interacting proteins (HIPs) have been studied in animals. HIPs perform diverse cellular functions, ranging from alleviating stress to suppressing the formation of insoluble protein, but how their orthologs function in plants is less known. This study shows that Arabidopsis HIP is a cytosolic and nuclear protein associated with HSP70.

In 108 patients with 50-99% symptomatic intracranial internal carotid artery or M1 middle cerebral artery stenosis, 4 CSVD imaging markers (lacunes, cerebral microbleeds, enlarged perivascular spaces [EPVSs], and white matter hyperintensities [WMHs]) were assessed in MRI. Score of 0 or 1 was assigned to each marker and added up as a summary CSVD score (ranging 0-4) to reflect an overall CSVD burden.

To gain a deeper understanding of the regulation of neuropsychiatric disease risk genes, we identified a total of 39 functional enhancers for four dosage-sensitive genes, , , , and , using CRISPR tiling deletion screening in human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-induced excitatory neurons. We found that enhancer annotation provides potential pathological insights into disease-associated copy number variants.

Amongst them, the Polytrichaceae is one of the largest family, with six genera and 25 species, one subspecies and two varieties reported previously.
New Information: Based on a field survey and specimen identification, the following species have been newly recorded in the bryoflora of Tibet, namely Broth.
Importance: The China Antihypertensive Trial in Acute Ischemic Stroke II (CATIS-2) suggests that early antihypertensive treatment did not reduce the risk of dependency or death in acute ischemic stroke (AIS), compared with delayed treatment. Single subcortical infarction (SSI) is an important stroke subtype, and the association of antihypertensive timing with clinical outcomes is unclear.
Objective: To investigate the association of early vs delayed antihypertensive treatment with clinical outcomes in patients with SSI, stratified by the presence of parent artery disease (PAD) stenosis.
The fracture mechanism and macro-properties of SVSAC were studied using a novel test system combined with numerical simulations, which included three-point bending beam tests, the digital image correlation (DIC) technique, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and ABAQUS analyses. In total, 9 groups and 36 specimens were fabricated by considering two critical parameters: initial notch-to-depth ratios (/) and concrete mix components (seawater and volcanic scoria coarse aggregate (VSCA)). Changes in fracture parameters, such as the load-crack mouth opening displacement curve (-CMOD), load-crack tip opening displacement curve (-CTOD), and fracture energy (), were obtained.

Nevertheless, its potential in anti-cancer, especially in anti-non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), as a single form of treatment or in combination with other therapies, is still poorly understood. In this study, we explored the anti-tumor role and the responsive molecular mechanisms of lumbrokinase in suppressing tumor angiogenesis and chemoresistance development in NSCLC and its clinical potential in combination with bevacizumab and chemotherapeutics.

Histone modifications represent highly informative epigenomic marks that reveal activation and repression of gene activities and dysregulation of transcriptional control due to tumorigenesis. Here, we present a comprehensive epigenomic and transcriptomic mapping of 18 tumor and 20 non-neoplastic tissues from non-small cell lung adenocarcinoma patients.

Methods: This post-hoc analysis of the ANGEL-ASPECT trial, a randomised controlled trial of 456 adult patients with acute anterior-circulation LVO and large infarction, defined by ASPECTS 3-5 or infarct core volume 70-100 mL, enrolled from 46 centres across China, between October 2, 2020 and May 18, 2022.
Background: Personalized blood pressure (BP) management for patients with acute ischemic stroke after successful endovascular thrombectomy lacks evidence. We aimed to investigate whether the deviation of BP from cerebral autoregulation limits is associated with worse outcomes.
Methods And Results: We determined autoregulation by measuring mean velocity index and calculated the percentage of time and the burden (defined as the time-BP area) with BP outside the autoregulatory limits of each subject within 48 hours after endovascular thrombectomy.
Livestock-associated (LA-MRSA) has been of increasing concern due to its potential risk to humans. This study investigated the prevalence of MRSA in pig production in Eastern China and determined the genomic characteristics of pig-associated MRSA isolates by whole-genome sequencing (WGS). A total of 1,318 samples were collected from pig farms and pig slaughterhouses, and 150 were identified, including 63 MRSA isolates and 87 MSSA isolates.

Herein, a combined "electrospinning-electrospray" strategy was disclosed to functionalize the PLA nanofibers by direct anchoring of highly dielectric BaTiO@ZIF-8 nanohybrids (BTO@ZIF-8), conferring simultaneous promotion of surface roughness, electret properties (surface potential as high as 7.5 kV), and self-charging capability (∼190% increase in tribo-output voltage compared to that of pure PLA).

However, it remains poorly understood how GPCRs, except for a few chemokine receptors, regulate the progression of liver fibrosis. Here, we aimed to reveal the role of GPR65, a proton-sensing receptor, in liver fibrosis and to elucidate the underlying mechanism.

In 84 patients with symptomatic, 50-99% atherosclerotic stenosis of M1 middle cerebral artery (MCA-M1) with acute borderzone infarcts in diffusion-weighted imaging, we classified the infarct patterns as isolated IBZ (n = 37), isolated CBZ (n = 31), and IBZ+CBZ (n = 16) infarcts. CT angiography-based computational fluid dynamics models were constructed to quantify translesional, post-stenotic to pre-stenotic pressure ratio (PR) in the MCA-M1 lesion.

Tubulin epsilon and delta complex 2 (TEDC2), also known as C16orf59, is implicated in maintaining centriole stability, but the involvement of TEDC2 in HCC remains unknown. This study aimed to investigate the expression profile and potential mechanisms of TEDC2 in HCC.
