Introduction: Inflammation is closely associated with the pathogenesis of vascular dementia (VD). Dl-3-n-butylphthalide (NBP) is a small molecule compound extracted from the seeds of Chinese celery, which have anti-inflammatory properties in animal models of acute ischemia and patients with stroke. In this experiment, we studied the protective effects of NBP in a rat model of VD induced by permanent bilateral occlusion of the common carotid arteries and investigated the role of the TLR-4/NF-κB inflammatory signaling pathway in the pathology of VD.

Methods: In a retrospective study, data were analyzed for patients who had placenta previa with placenta accreta and underwent elective cesarean delivery (>34 weeks) with or without temporary aortic balloon occlusion at a center in Zhengzhou, China, between October 2015 and September 2016. The primary clinical outcomes were operative time, estimated blood loss, intraoperative blood transfusion volume, hemoglobin, hysterectomy, and hospitalization.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy and effect of Astragalus Granule (AG) , auricular point sticking combined with aerosol inhalation on the levels of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF- a), interleukin-4 (IL-4), interleukin-10 (IL-10), eosinophil cell count (EOS), and immunoglobulin E (IgE) in cough variant asthma (CVA) children. Methods Totally 150 CVA children patients were ran- domly assigned to three group, the Western medicine group (WM) , the Chinese medicine group (CM) , and the combined group, 50 in each group. All patients received basic treatment of aerosol inhalation with Budesonide suspension and Terbutaline Sulphate Solution.

Methods: There were 106 term Chinese neonates in the study. The majority weighed between 2500 g and 3499 g (63%) and had a gestational age of 37-40 weeks (77%).
Background: TRB3, a human homolog of Drosophila Tribbles, has been shown as a critical negative regulator of Akt (also known as protein kinase B), which is a key component in insulin signaling. In addition, TRB3 is another PPAR-target gene and functions as an important link between glucose and lipid metabolism. The Q84R polymorphic variant of TRB3 has been linked to insulin resistance and related clinical outcomes.
