Background: Increased icariin content during the harvesting period is one of the factors limiting the quality improvement of Epimedium sagittatum, and there is currently a lack of scientific and effective biotechnological measures.
Results: In this study, we carried out experiments involving spraying different concentrations (0 µmol·L as control group, 500 µmol·L, 1000 µmol·L and 1500 µmol·L) of methyl jasmonate (MeJA) solution on E. sagittatum leaves.
Based on whole genome data, the identification and expression pattern analysis of the Atropa belladonna WRKY transcription factor family were conducted to provide a theoretical foundation for studying the biological functions and mechanisms of these transcription factors. In this study, bioinformatics methods were employed to identify members of the A. belladonna WRKY gene family and to predict their physicochemical properties, conserved motifs, promoter cis-acting elements, and chromosomal localization.

Lithium-sulfur batteries (LSBs) are among the most promising next-generation energy storage technologies. However, a slow Li-S reaction kinetics at the LSB cathode limit their energy and power densities. To address these challenges, this study introduces an anionic-doped transition metal chalcogenide as an effective catalyst to accelerate the Li-S reaction.

The primary method of control remains the use of chemical agents. In an effort to develop novel and highly effective antimicrobial agents, a series of benzoylurea derivatives incorporating a difluoromethyl (trifluoromethyl) pyrimidine structure were designed and synthesized.

Its main symptoms include elevated androgen levels, irregular menstrual cycles, and long-term metabolic and offspring health implications. Despite the disease's multifaceted nature involving genetic, epigenetic, and environmental factors, the role of alternative splicing in ovarian granulosa cells remains relatively unexplored.

The reoxygenation during reperfusion leads to an overproduction of reactive oxygen species (ROS). As an antioxidant, HS can scavenge ROS to inhibit oxidative stress and inflammatory reaction, thus attenuating ischemia-reperfusion injury.

However, various poisoning symptoms are frequently reported upon ingestion of a large amount of SA. Therefore, discovering new tools for sensing SA with fast, simple, and portable performance is imperative.

Designing ultrathin transition metal electrocatalysts with optimal surface chemistry state is crucial for oxygen evolution reaction (OER). However, the structure-dependent electrochemical performance and the underlying catalytic mechanisms are still not clearly distinguished. Herein, we synthesize ultrathin CoSe nanosheets (NSs) with subnanometer thickness by incorporating catalytically inactive selenium (Se) into ultrathin Co(OH), thereby switching the OER reaction pathway from adsorbate evolution mechanism (AEM) to oxide path mechanism (OPM).

A murine model of -induced BV was established, and mice were treated with SBCT, VMT, or saline. Histopathological changes, inflammatory cytokine levels, pro-inflammatory biomarker expression, helper T cell transcription factor expression, and vaginal microbiota composition were assessed.

In 2022, the European LeukemiaNet (ELN) has updated its prognostic system that incorporates cytogenetics and molecular genetics based on data from patients undergoing intensive chemotherapy (IC). Recently, a risk stratification framework has been established for hypomethylating agents (HMA)-based low-intensity treatment (LIT) to fill the gaps in stratification for this treatment modality, but this needs further refinement.

Climate change is having important effects on the migration routes and seasonal-spatial distribution patterns of aquatic animals, including the cephalopods de Rochebrune (Hoyle, 1886) and (Hoyle, 1885) in the East China Sea region. We conducted bottom trawling surveys from 2018 to 2019 in the East China Sea region to identify the seasonal-spatial distribution patterns, including the locations of spawning and nursery grounds of both species, and to determine how they are related to environmental variables. We used random forests and boosted regression trees to identify the distribution patterns of both species from spring to winter to estimate the annual mean situations.

However, the initiating signals and cellular interaction mechanisms of PNI remain largely elusive. The nerve-sparing radical hysterectomy (NSRH) proposed to improve postoperative quality of life is only applicable to cervical cancer patients without PNI.

The results showed that the coupled DC01 effectively accelerated the corrosion rate of AM60B, and the increased salt concentration had a significant effect on the deterioration process. The corrosion of AM60B mainly exhibits metal dissolution, and the formed Mg(OH) has weak a protective effect on the alloy substrate.

We conducted a systematic review of PT trials in ES-NSCLC, analyzing dosimetry, efficacy, and safety across to inform clinical decision-making. Our study showed that PT reduced lung and heart dosimetric parameters compared to XRT, with significant differences in lung V5, lung V10 and mean heart dose (MHD).

Methods: Altogether, 320 consecutive subjects who underwent MRI-PDFF and liver SDCT examinations were recruited and prospectively enrolled from four Chinese hospital centers. Participants were classified into normal (n = 152), mild steatosis (n = 110), and moderate/severe(mod/sev) steatosis (n = 58) groups based on MRI-PDFF.
Glucagon receptor (GCGR) is a class B1 G-protein-coupled receptor that plays a crucial role in maintaining human blood glucose homeostasis and is a significant target for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Currently, six small molecules (Bay 27-9955, MK-0893, MK-3577, LY2409021, PF-06291874, and LGD-6972) have been tested or are undergoing clinical trials, but only the binding site of MK-0893 has been resolved. To predict binding sites for other small molecules, we utilized both the crystal structure of the GCGR and MK-0893 complex and dynamic conformations.
