Rosmarinic acid (RA) is a natural active compound widely found in many plants belonging to the family of , , and so on, which has various important bioactivities, including being anti-oxidative, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, etc. Herein, novel hydrophilic magnetic molecularly imprinted polymers (HMMIPs) with a regular core-shell structure were successfully developed using RA as a template molecule, acrylamide (AM) as a functional monomer, N-N 'methylenebisacrylamide (MBA) as a cross-linking agent, and water as the porogen. After a series of characterization and adsorption performance analyses, it was found that HMMIPs are hydrophilic with an adsorption capacity of 8.

Salecan is a novel extracellular polysaccharide with ideal physicochemical and biological activities. Here, we have designed a polymer gel through UV-initiated polymerization of [2-(Methacryloyloxy) ethyl] dimethyl-(3-sulfopropyl) ammonium hydroxide (SBMA) in the mixture of salecan and tannic acid.

In this study, NaI and F-FDG were simultaneously imaged using the Compton-PET system, in vivo. The angular resolution and sensitivity of the Compton camera with 356 keV gamma ray measured using a Ba point source were 12.

Previous research has demonstrated the existence of the face race lightness (FRL) illusion. It indicates that Black faces tend to appear darker than White faces, even when their luminance values are objectively adjusted to be the same. However, the debate over the exclusive influence of face-race categories on the FRL illusion continues, with the impact of racial groups on the illusion remaining relatively unexplored.

Humans can quickly estimate the quantity of objects in their environment through the Approximate Number System (ANS). However, the developmental trajectories of numerical and spatial perception in school-aged children are not well understood. This study aimed to address this issue by examining the performance of 7-year-olds, 9-year-olds, and 11-year-olds in the dot-number and dot-area tasks.

However, no effective method currently exists to completely prevent or reverse cognitive impairment associated with PD. We therefore aimed to investigate the therapeutic effect of near-infrared region II light (NIR-II) region illumination on cognitive impairment in PD through behavioral experiments (water maze and rotary rod) and multiple fluorescence immunohistochemistry techniques.

Research has also revealed that visual cues may influence the ANS acuity, which may change with age. However, most studies have drawn conclusions based on performance differences between incongruent and congruent trials, which may be confounded by an individual's ability to inhibit interference.

However, the response to ICIs varies among patients, and predictive biomarkers are urgently needed. PCDH11X is frequently mutated in LUAD, while its role in ICI treatment is unclear.

However, improving the colloidal stability of nanoparticle emulsions and resolving the redispersion problem of freeze-dried nanoparticle powders remain significant challenges. In this study, we fabricated coassembled oleanolic acid-curcumin nanoparticles (OA/Cur NPs) and applied a polysaccharide surface coating method to improve their colloidal stability and water solubility.

Water-energy sustainability will depend upon the rapid development of advanced pressure-driven separation membranes. Although energy-efficient, water-treatment membranes are constrained by ubiquitous fouling, which may be alleviated by engineering self-cleaning membrane interfaces. In this study, a metal-polyphenol network was designed to direct the armorization of catalytic nanofilms (ca.

Identification of the mechanisms mediating metabolic changes in cancer may lead to improved strategies to suppress tumor growth and stimulate antitumor immunity. Here, it was observed that the secretomes of hypoxic breast cancer cells and breast cancer stem cells (BCSC) induced reprogramming of metabolic pathways, particularly glycolysis, in normoxic breast cancer cells.

Controlling the host inflammatory response and improving the periodontal inflammatory microenvironment are crucial to promoting periodontal tissue regeneration. In this study, the blended nanofiber membranes previously prepared by our research group were improved, and we developed multifunctional chitosan/polyvinyl alcohol/graphene oxide/astaxanthin coaxial nanofiber membranes.

Stress-induced dysfunction of reward processing is documented to be a critical factor associated with mental illness. Although many studies have attempted to clarify the relationship between stress and reward, few studies have investigated the effect of acute stress on the temporal dynamics of reward processing. The present study applied event-related potentials (ERP) to examine how acute stress differently influences reward anticipation and consumption.

We designed on-demand biodegradable superhydrophilic membranes composed of polylactic acid nanofibers in conjunction with polyethylene oxide hydrogels using electrospinning technology for ultrafast purification of oily water. Our results showed that the use of the polyethylene oxide hydrogels increased the number of hydrogen bonds formed between the membrane surface and water molecules by 357.

Using an integrative multi-omics analysis and artificial intelligence-enabled spatial analysis of whole-slide images, we performed a comprehensive characterization of TME in colorectal cancer (CCCRC). CRC samples were classified into four CCCRC subtypes with distinct TME features, namely, C1 as the proliferative subtype with low immunogenicity; C2 as the immunosuppressed subtype with the terminally exhausted immune characteristics; C3 as the immune-excluded subtype with the distinct upregulation of stromal components and a lack of T cell infiltration in the tumor core; and C4 as the immunomodulatory subtype with the remarkable upregulation of anti-tumor immune components.
