  • Dahuang Mudan decoction (DMD) is a traditional Chinese medicine used to treat infectious diseases, and this study aims to evaluate its effects on septic mice and understand its mechanisms.
  • Various tests, including sepsis models and blood tests, showed that DMD and its components significantly improved survival rates and reduced organ damage in septic mice, similar to a positive control drug (Xuebijing injection).
  • The study concluded that DMD and its ingredients work by reducing inflammation and coagulation activation, suggesting a promising therapeutic potential for sepsis treatment.

Pectolinarigenin (PEC), a natural flavonoid isolated from Cirsium japonicum, exhibits promising therapeutic potential for multiple cancers. In present study, a simple and sensitive UPLC-MS/MS method was established for the quantification of PEC in rat plasma and tissues. The assay procedure involved a one-step protein precipitation with tadalafil as the internal standard, and separation on a Welch Xtimate UHPLC C column by gradient elution of acetonitrile/aqueous formic acid (0.

To understand the macrozoobenthic community composition and spatial-temporal distribution characteristics of macrobenthos in the waters of Miaodao Archipelago, Yantai, Shandong and its response to habitat changes, we conducted surveys of macrobenthos and environmental elements in the waters of Miaodao Islands in May (spring), August (summer), and October (autumn) in 2022. Results showed that a total of 127 macrozoobenthic species were recorded, with Mollusca and Annelida (Polychaeta) as the dominant taxa, consisting of 47 and 45 species, respectively. The key dominant species included , , , and () .

Network pharmacology and molecular docking methods were used in the present study to clarify the molecular mechanism of two traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions of climacteric syndrome. Based on oral availability and drug similarity, the main active components of Erzhi Pill and Erxian Decoction were screened through the platform of traditional Chinese medicine system pharmacology. The target database of climacteric syndrome was established by using GENECARD, OMIM, PharmGKB, Targets and Drugbank.

This study employed network pharmacology to investigate the effect of Guizhi Gancao Decoction(GGD) on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury(MI/RI) in rats and decipher the underlying mechanism. Firstly, the chemical components and targets of GGD against MI/RI were searched against the Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform(TCMSP), SwissTargetPrediction, and available articles. STRING and Cytoscape 3.

Introduction: The current study was designed to systemically investigate the impact of remote ischemic conditioning (RIC) on intra- and postoperative bleeding and transfusion in patients undergoing cardiac surgery.

Evidence Acquisition: We included all randomized controlled trials (RCTs) comparing RIC with control on intra- and postoperative blood loss and blood transfusion. The inclusion criteria were as follows: 1) adult patients undergoing cardiac surgery; 2) RCT; 3) perioperative administration of RIC compared to control; 4) outcomes of interest reported.

Inflammation is associated with a series of diseases like cancer, cardiovascular disease and infection, and phosphorylation/dephosphorylation modification of proteins are important in inflammation regulation. Here we designed and synthesized a novel Brazilin-Ce nanoparticle (BX-Ce NPs) using Brazilin, which has been used for anti-inflammation in cardiovascular diseases but with narrow therapeutic window, and Cerium (IV), a lanthanide which has the general activity in catalyzing the hydrolysis of phosphoester bonds, to conferring de/anti-phosphorylation of IKKβ. We found that BX-Ce NPs specifically bound to Asn225 and Lys428 of IKKβ and inhibited its phosphorylation at Ser181, contributing to appreciably anti-inflammatory effect in cellulo (IC = 2.

Nitric oxide (NO), a free radical labile gas, is involved in the regulation of various biological functions and physiological processes during animal reproduction. Recently, increasing evidence suggests that the biological role and chemical fate of NO is dependent on dynamic regulation of its biosynthetic enzyme, three distinct nitric oxide synthase (NOS) according to their structure, location and function. The impact of NOS isoforms on reproductive functions need to be timely elucidated.
