In a multicenter case-control investigation, we assessed the efficacy of the Electrooculogram Signal Analysis (EOG-SA) method, which integrates attention-related visual evocation, electrooculography, and nonlinear analysis, for distinguishing between intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and typical development (TD) in children. Analyzing 127 participants (63 IDD, 64 TD), we applied nonlinear dynamics for feature extraction. Results indicated EOG-SA's capability to distinguish IDD, with higher template thresholds and Correlation Dimension values correlating with clinical severity.

Background: Regarding trochanteric hip fractures, one type of posterior coronal fragments was described as the "banana-shaped fragment", while the impact of the banana-shaped fragment on mechanical stability has not been further studied. The current study investigated the association between the banana-shaped fragment and mechanical complications after surgery.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study included 273 patients treated by proximal femoral nail antirotation (PFNA) in the full analysis.
Research on novel bioactive lipids has garnered increasing interest. Although lipids can be identified by searching mass spectral libraries, the discovery of novel lipids remains challenging as the query spectra of such lipids are not included in libraries. In this study, we propose a strategy to discover novel carboxylic acid-containing acyl lipids by integrating molecular networking with an extended spectral library.

Methods: Sixty children with mental retardation were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group, with 30 cases in each one. The children in the control group were treated with conventional rehabilitation, 5 times a week.
Introduction: Ding-Zhi-Xiao-Wan (DZXW) produces potential antidepressant-like effects. However, its antidepressant mechanisms are still unclear.
Objective: To analyze the antidepressant effects and the pharmacological mechanisms of DZXW, meta-analysis, network pharmacology, and molecular docking were selected in this study.
Background: Recently, a novel approach axis-blade angle (ABA) was developed to measure implant positions during trochanteric hip fracture surgery. It was defined as the sum of two angles α and β measured between the femoral neck axis and helical blade axis in anteroposterior and lateral X-ray films, respectively. Although its clinical practicability has been confirmed, the mechanism is yet to be investigated by means of finite element (FE) analysis.

Methods: Between January 2015 and December 2018, 21 patients who received ETI after esophagectomy were enrolled (ETI group) at the department of thoracic surgery, Fujian Union hospital, China.
Inappropriate dietary intake during pregnancy is a key factor in low birth weight (LBW). This study compares LBW between healthy and processed dietary patterns by focusing on women of advanced maternal age. A cross-sectional survey was conducted with 327 postpartum women in Taiwan.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed for the medical data of 731 EPIs or ELBWIs who were admitted from January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2020. These infants were divided into two groups: male and female.
Background: Long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) mediates the pathogenesis of various diseases, including cancer and cardiovascular, infectious, and metabolic diseases. This study examined the role of lncRNA in the development and progression of cancer.
Methods: The expression of was determined using tissues containing complementary DNA (cDNA) from patients with liver, lung, kidney, oral, and colon cancers.

Objective: As a noninvasive and nonpharmacological therapeutic approach, superficial acupuncture (SA) is a special method of acupuncture. In this study, using nonlinear dynamics and multivariate statistics, we studied the electroencephalography (EEG) of primary insomnia under SA intervention to investigate how brain regions change.
Method: This study included 30 adults with primary insomnia.
Backgroud: Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), an inflammatory mediator, modulates cytokines, regulates immune responses in reproductive processes and stimulates inflammatory reactions via the prostaglandin E2 receptor 2 (EP2). However, the regulatory effects of EP2 signaling on trophoblasts and its role in unexplained recurrent miscarriage (uRM) remains unclear.
Patients And Methods: A total of 19 placentas from patients with a history of more than two consecutive pregnancy losses of unknown cause (uRM group) and placentas of 19 healthy patients following a legal termination of their pregnancy were used for PGE2 receptor (EP1, EP2 and EP4) expression analyses via immunohistochemistry.

In this study, we explore the prevalence of MSD in various body parts as well as their risk factors among hospital nurses.
Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive design with stratified cluster sampling was used to collect data from 1,803 nurses.

Existing measurement methods used for blade placement include the Cleveland zone, the tip-apex distance (TAD), the calcar-referenced tip-apex distance (CalTAD), and the Parker's ratio. These methods all lack a direct view on blade direction.
