Quantifying attention in children with intellectual and developmental disabilities through multicenter electrooculogram signal analysis.

In a multicenter case-control investigation, we assessed the efficacy of the Electrooculogram Signal Analysis (EOG-SA) method, which integrates attention-related visual evocation, electrooculography, and nonlinear analysis, for distinguishing between intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and typical development (TD) in children. Analyzing 127 participants (63 IDD, 64 TD), we applied nonlinear dynamics for feature extraction. Results indicated EOG-SA's capability to distinguish IDD, with higher template thresholds and Correlation Dimension values correlating with clinical severity.

[Transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation based on electro-oculogram signal regulation for children with mental retardation: a randomized controlled trial].

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation (TEAS) at Changqiang (GV 1) based on the modulation of electro-oculogram (EOG) signal for children with mental retardation, and explore the evaluation effect of the goal attainment scale (GAS) in children with mental retardation.

Methods: Sixty children with mental retardation were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group, with 30 cases in each one. The children in the control group were treated with conventional rehabilitation, 5 times a week.

Background: Recently, a novel approach axis-blade angle (ABA) was developed to measure implant positions during trochanteric hip fracture surgery. It was defined as the sum of two angles α and β measured between the femoral neck axis and helical blade axis in anteroposterior and lateral X-ray films, respectively. Although its clinical practicability has been confirmed, the mechanism is yet to be investigated by means of finite element (FE) analysis.

Catalytic Asymmetric Tandem Cycloisomerization/[5+2] Cycloaddition Reaction of -Aryl Nitrone Alkynes with Methyleneindolinones.

An asymmetric tandem cycloisomerization and intermolecular [5+2] cycloaddition reaction of 2-ethynylphenyl-substituted nitrones with methyleneindolinones was realized. The process includes the palladium(II)-promoted formation of azomethine ylide and the following chiral ,'-dioxide-Co(II) complex-catalyzed regio-, diastereo-, and enantioselective [5+2] cycloaddition reaction. The desired spiro-tropanyl oxindoles were obtained in good yields with excellent dr and ee values.

Cytotoxic and Antibacterial Cervinomycins B from a Species.

A novel angle on helical blade placement in trochanteric fractures - The axis-blade angle.

Introduction: For trochanteric fractures, helical blade placement is crucial to the prognosis of operations. Existing measurement methods used for blade placement include the Cleveland zone, the tip-apex distance (TAD), the calcar-referenced tip-apex distance (CalTAD), and the Parker's ratio.
