Microeunicellols A () and B (), two undescribed eunicellin diterpenoids, were isolated from the culture of a bacterial symbiont, SY67903. Their structures, including absolute configurations revealed by spectroscopic data and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, are closely related with the diterpenoids from its host, a South China Sea gorgonian, . This is the first report of eunicellin diterpenoids, commonly coral-derived, from a bacterial symbiont of coral.

Two new spliceostatin analogs, designed as spliceostatins J and K (1 and 2), were isolated and identified from the culture of Pseudomonas sp., along with two known ones, FR901464 (3) and spliceostatin E (4). Their structures were elucidated by detailed interpretation of their spectroscopic data, especially 2D-NMR and HR-ESI-MS.

Bicuspid aortic valve (BAV) is the most common form of congenital cardiovascular defect in humans worldwide and is responsible for substantial morbidity and mortality. Accumulating evidence has demonstated that genetic risk factors are involved in the pathogenesis of BAV. However, BAV is genetically heterogeneous and the genetic basis underlying BAV in a large number of patients remains unknown.
