The study aimed to establish a method for measuring anti-A and anti-B IgG antibodies in plasma from O-type RhD-positive pregnant women using absorption and elution tests.
Samples from 95 pregnant women were analyzed, revealing no significant differences between the levels of IgG antibodies in plasma and the eluted samples, and a strong positive correlation was found between their titers.
The results indicate that the tests are effective for quantifying these antibodies when the plasma titer is above 8, showing that both anti-A and anti-B antibodies can be equally collected and measured.
