The green peach aphid, , is a notorious pest worldwide. We collected a field population of the pest (FZQ-F) that exhibited high resistance to neonicotinoids. Exposure to neonicotinoids can induce oxidative damage in animals; however, it remains unclear whether antioxidant enzymes contribute to the innate immune response of neonicotinoid-resistant pests against high doses of insecticides.

Objectives: Disaster preparedness plays a vital role in mitigating risks and strengthening resilience of local communities in rural areas. This study examines the linkage between psychological factors and 4 kinds of disaster preparedness intentions and explores the challenges in translating intentions into actions.
Methods: This study utilized survey data from 325 households in Chongqing, China, that are threatened by geological disasters.
Background: The enactment of child restraint systems (CRSs) legislation is highly effective in increasing CRS practices. However, evidence from low- and middle-income countries is still lacking. This study aimed to assess the changes in CRS practices in Shenzhen, China following the implementation of CRS legislation.

Aim: To establish an animal model of form deprivation amblyopia based on a simulated cataract intraocular lens (IOLs).
Methods: Poly(dimethyl siloxane)-SiO thin films (PSF) with different degrees of opacity as IOL materials were prepared. The light transmission of the PSF-IOL was measured, and its biosafety was determined by cell counting kit (CCK)-8 assay using the HLEC-B3 cell line and ARPE-19 cell line.
The pathogenesis of breast cancer is still unclear. Small RNAs associated with extracellular vesicles (EVs) have been found to be involved in tumor development. It is important to explore the role of EVs small RNAs in breast cancer.

Inflammation plays an important role in the development of RAP. This study aims to analyze and explore the predictive value of the neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR) combined with the albumin to globulin ratio (AGR) for assessing RAP.

Whether for visible light or X-rays, detectors with low detection limits can better identify weak light signals, significantly reducing the intensity of the received light source during device operation. In particular, for X-ray detectors, reducing X-ray dosage can greatly enhance the safety of X-ray imaging technology.

We previously elucidated that mitochondrial complex I deficiency can promote glycolysis in mut-p53 SW480 cells. However, studies have revealed a phenotype with attenuated glycolysis but enhanced fatty acid oxidation (FAO) in invasive tumors.

Lipids play a critical role in insect defense systems, but their contribution to insect neonicotinoid resistance is disregarded. We conducted metabolomics and transcriptomics studies on thiacloprid-resistant (THG-R) and -susceptible (FFJ-S) populations.

Heat stress has demonstrated impressive results in halting cell proliferation and migration, while also facilitating cell death. This study aimed to investigate the role and mechanism of ferroptosis in the proliferation and migration of LECs under heat stress.

Designing the straw drinking experience is increasingly important in consumer-oriented liquid food innovation. The perceived 'straw drinking ease' of liquid foods could be assessed by sensory analysis. However, challenges arise in linking instrumental measurements to the subjective quantification of sensory attributes due to the complexity of perceptual behaviors in drinking.

This study aims to examine the associations between potential factors and turnover intention in healthcare workers and explore the mediating effect of job satisfaction and work engagement in the association between them.
Methods: In this cross-sectional study, a random sample of 1060 healthcare workers working in 98 public medical institutions were recruited to rate their turnover intention in 2018 in Shenzhen, China.
Despite the widespread acknowledgment in both industry and academia of the substantial potential of digital technology for fostering innovation and sustainable development, there remains uncertainty surrounding whether integrating these technologies can improve environmental innovation in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) due to the liability of smallness. This paper utilizes a panel dataset comprising 1036 Chinese manufacturing SMEs listed between 2011 and 2020 to investigate the influence of different digital technology adoption strategies-specifically, digital technology adoption breadth (DTAB) and digital technology adoption depth (DTAD)-on SMEs' environmental innovation. Additionally, we examine the moderating effects of government subsidies and industrial agglomeration on these relationships.

Methods: A total of 613 patients were retrospectively analyzed, including 124 who received neoadjuvant therapy. A 1:2 propensity score matching method was adopted to create a balanced cohort including 110 with neoadjuvant therapy and 169 without neoadjuvant therapy.
Background: Uniportal video assisted thoracoscopic surgery has become widely accepted with increasing subxiphoid approach for major pulmonary resections. The purpose of this study was to verify the safety and feasibility of a SHURUI single port (SP) Robotic Surgical System in subxiphoid right upper lobectomy.
Methods: Five swine models were used to perform subxiphoid right upper lobectomy with SHURUI SP Robotic Surgical System.
High blood concentrations of nonesterified fatty acids (NEFA) during ketosis enhance uptake by the mammary gland and impair autophagy while causing oxidative stress. Caveolin 1 (CAV1) is closely related to autophagy and plays a role in regulating oxidative stress. The aim of this study was to explore the potential role of CAV1 on oxidative stress and autophagy during a high-NEFA challenge in the immortalized bovine mammary epithelial cell line (MAC-T).

In this work, a facile and economical two-step synthesis method was employed to fabricate h-BN/WO heterojunctions, exhibiting excellent performance in triethylamine (TEA) detection. The results indicate that compared to pure WO sensors, h-BN/WO sensors exhibit superior TEA sensing capabilities, with an excellent response of 281.
