BACKGROUND Influenza-associated acute necrotizing encephalopathy (IANE) can be lethal and disabling and have a sudden onset and deteriorate rapidly but lacks early diagnostic indicators. We aimed to examine the early clinical diagnostic indicators in children with IANE. MATERIAL AND METHODS Acute influenza patients were grouped according to their clinical manifestations: flu alone (FA), flu with febrile seizure (FS), influenza-associated encephalopathy (IAE), and IANE.

In this study, a highly out-of-plane alignment of the n-type polymer P(NDI2OD-T2) film has been successfully achieved by horizontal rotation in a high magnetic field (HR-HMF). The out-of-plane alignment of the P(NDI2OD-T2) film has showed a change from 72% face-on to 98.

Recently, atomically dispersed transition-metal single atom in nitrogen-doped carbon matrix as electrocatalysts has aroused general interest. However, there is no report about vanadium single atom for ORR in the literature. According to d-band center theory for transition-metals, the performance of catalysts is regulated by the electronic structure of the catalytic center which determines the intermediate adsorption kinetics.

We report the tuning of the iron molybdate (FeMoO) electron structure via a coupled interface between the catalytic centers and the substrate. Our developed FeMoO catalysts can provide a 50 mA cm current density at 1.

The primary clinical symptoms of CCA include multiple flexion contractures, arachnodactyly, dolichostenomelia, scoliosis, abnormal pinnae, muscular hypoplasia, and crumpled ears.
Methods: We used whole-exome sequencing technology to examine an arthrogryposis multiplex congenita and used Sanger sequencing technology to genetically confirm its family.
The non-fullerene photoactive layer (PTB7-Th:IEICO-4F) film is first immersed into a PMA solution to induce an effective surface p-type doping. An improved hole-collection and a high PCE of 11.37% was obtained, although the non-fullerene OSCs were without a commonly evaporated MoO3.

Notably, the resultant 1,2-dioxenes are structurally stable, which can be facially transformed into another important 1,2-dioxane endoperoxide under conventional hydrogenation conditions without deconstructing the weak O-O bond.

Hence, one of the fundamental steps for decision making in influenza prevention is to characterize its spatio-temporal trend, especially on the key problem about how influenza transmits among adjacent places and how much impact the influenza of one place could have on its neighbors. To solve this problem while avoiding too much additional time-consuming work on data collection, this study proposed a new concept of spatio-temporal route as well as its estimation methods to construct the influenza transmission network.

It is found that a relatively lower magnetic field = 0.28 T can efficiently enhance the photodegradation efficiency of commercial TiO by 24%.

Cell death following extended mitotic arrest is mediated by the intrinsic apoptosis pathway. Accordingly, factors that influence the robustness of mitotic arrest or disrupt the apoptotic machinery confer drug resistance.

While efforts are focused on developing catalytic materials, it is also critical to understand and control the microenvironment around catalytic sites, which can mediate the transport of reaction species and influence reaction pathways. Here, we show that a hydrophobic microenvironment can significantly enhance CO gas-diffusion electrolysis.

A general [5+1] annulation reaction, which utilized 4-bromo- or 4-mesyloxy-but-2-enyl peroxides as unique five-atom bielectrophilic synthons to participate in the C-C and the subsequent umpolung C-O bond-forming reactions with C1 nucleophiles, has been developed for the facile synthesis of 2,2-disubstituted dihydropyrans in high yields under mild basic conditions. The dihydropyrans, which are readily prepared on a gram scale by this new method, can be flexibly transformed into the biologically important tetrahydropyrans and pyranones in 1-2 steps.

Achieving high power conversion efficiency and good mechanical robustness is still challenging for the ultraflexible organic solar cells. Interlayers simultaneously having good mechanical robustness and good chemical compatibility with the active layer are highly desirable. In this work, we present an interlayer of Zn-chelated polyethylenimine (denoted as PEI-Zn), which can endure a maximum bending strain over twice as high as that of ZnO and is chemically compatible with the recently emerging efficient nonfullerene active layers.

We investigate the influence of intercalation and exchange of molecularly thin layers of small molecules (water, ethanol, 2-propanol, and acetone) on charge transfer at the well-defined interface between an insulator (muscovite mica) and a conductor (graphene). Raman spectroscopy is used to probe the charge carriers in graphene.
