Jointed soft-hard composite rocks are frequently encountered in nature, and this complex structure contributes to unpredictable fracturing mechanisms and failure behavior. In this study, soft-hard composite rocks with three joints were fabricated to conduct a uniaxial loading experiment, supplemented by Digital Image Correlation (DIC) and Acoustic Emission (AE) experiments. The results indicate that the mechanical parameters display a V-shape variation trend with the increase of joint angle, which minimized at 30°.

The sandwich ELISA (sELISA) targeting sarcoplasmic calcium binding protein (SCP) is significantly influenced by food matrices, yet the mechanisms are unclear. To clarify the comprehensive effects of environments, matrices, and processing, SCP treated with diverse temperatures, pH, and matrices was subjected to ELISA, electrophoresis, multispectroscopic and molecular simulation assays. Recoveries of sELISA and indirect competitive ELISA (icELISA) were inhibited above 80 °C and 100 °C due to the unfolding of SCP.

Accurate lanthanides featured with the abundant ladder-like excited states may enable one single activator to exhibit a multitude of emission bands. The elaborate manipulation on such emission bands can realize the modulation of emission color and therefore lead to plenty of applications. Large amount of redundancy is widely present in convolutional neural networks (CNNs). The high potential of non-covalent arene-fluoroarene intermolecular interactions in the design of liquid crystals lies in their ability to strongly promote self-assembly, improve the order and stability of the supramolecular mesophases, and enable tuneability of the optical and electronic properties, which can potentially be exploited for advanced applications in display technologies, photonic devices, sensors, and organic electronics. We recently successfully reported the straightforward synthesis of several mesogens containing four lateral aliphatic chains and derived from the classical triphenylene core self-assembling in columnar mesophases based on this paradigm. Pyrazinamide derivatives have been extensively studied for their biological activities, such as anti-tuberculosis activity and antiviral activities. In this work, a continuous-flow system was developed for the synthesis of pyrazinamide derivatives from pyrazine esters and amines (aliphatic amine, benzylamines and morpholine) catalyzed by Lipozyme® TL IM from , which was used for the first time. A novel series of sugar-containing pyrimidine derivatives have been synthesized an effective and convenient two-step tandem synthesis in continuous-flow microreactors with excellent regioselectivity. Using continuous-flow microreactors to assemble two-step reactions into one unit can effectively avoid separating and purifying intermediates. Limiting cellular plasticity is of key importance for the therapeutic targeting of metastatic breast cancer (MBC). Fibroblast growth receptor (FGFR) is a critical molecule in cellular plasticity and potent inhibitors of FGFR enzymatic activity have been developed, but kinase independent functions for this receptor also contribute to MBC progression. Herein, we evaluated several FGFR inhibitors and find that while FGFR-targeted kinase inhibitors are effective at blocking ligand-induced cell growth, dormant cells persist eventually giving rise to MBC progression.
