Introduction: In 2010, China launched the 10-year National Syphilis Prevention and Control Program to curb the spread of syphilis by integrating syphilis screening and treatment with HIV services. Herein, we aimed to evaluate changes in the prevalence of syphilis among people living with HIV (PLHIV) in China.
Methods: We conducted this systematic review and meta-analysis by searching the PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, China Biomedical Literature, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang and CQVIP databases from inception to 1 June 2024 to obtain relevant articles.
This study aims to explore the application value of big data technology (BDT) in enterprise information security (EIS). Its goal is to develop a risk prediction model based on big data analysis to enhance the information security protection capability of enterprises. A big data analysis system that can monitor and intelligently identify potential security risks in real-time is constructed by designing complex network analysis algorithms and machine learning models.

This study investigated the occurrence, source apportionment, and health risks associated with polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and their derivatives (d-PAHs) in indoor dust, by focusing on residential and public buildings in Nanjing, China. The concentration of 16 PAHs and 27 d-PAHs ranged from 511 to 5472 ng/g and from 422 to 2904 ng/g, with the most abundant compounds being fluoranthene and 1,2-benz[a]anthraquinone, respectively.

Phytase has the activity of hydrolyzing phytate into phosphate. The mineralization of phytate in soil by phytase secreted by microorganisms is an effective way to improve the utilization rate of phytate.

Despite the critical importance of cardiac rehabilitation (CR) in CHF management, while studies have explored the effectiveness of various CR delivery modes and offered valuable context-specific insights, their relative efficacy remains inconsistent across different patient groups, healthcare environments, and intervention approaches. A clearer understanding requires comprehensive comparisons and in-depth analyses to address these variations.

The long-term pollution trends in ICM at the whole lake/river scale have not yet been investigated; therefore, the risks associated with ICM and the influences of environmental factors remain understudied. Herein, the occurrence and distribution of ICM in the surface water of Taihu Lake were comprehensively investigated.

To reveal the differences in food consumption patterns and carbon footprints between urban and rural residents in China, the life cycle carbon emission coefficient method was used to measure the direct carbon emissions of food consumption by urban and rural residents in China from 2000 to 2021. From the perspective of carbon footprint composition, the following main conclusions were drawn: ① The structure of food consumption among residents in China shifted from predominantly plant-based to a balanced consumption of both plant- and animal-based foods, reducing the disparity in various food consumption quantities between urban and rural residents.

Widespread Fe-bearing clay minerals are potential materials capable of reducing and immobilizing U(VI). However, the kinetics of this process and the impact of environmental factors remain unclear. Herein, we investigated U(VI) reduction by chemically reduced nontronite (rNAu-2) in the presence of EDTA and bicarbonate.

Previous research has suggested that the analgesic effects of NP are mediated by dopamine (DA) neurons in the ventral tegmental region (VTA) through projections to various brain regions. A decrease in VTA dopamine neurons following NP may contribute to prolonged pain.

However, the inherent incompatibility between heterogeneous phases presents a significant challenge in constructing multi-heterointerfaces and understanding how their distribution influences dielectric performance. Herein, we constructed an EGaIn@Ni/NiO/GaO composite structure by employing a low-intensity ultrasound-assisted galvanic replacement reaction followed by high-temperature annealing.

Our study reviews the clinical characteristics and treatment outcomes of 14 patients with PLNTY to enhance the understanding of this condition from an epilepsy surgery perspective.
Methods: We performed a retrospective analysis of 14 PLNTY cases at our hospital.
Cancer cells secrete extracellular vesicles (EV) encapsulating bioactive cargoes to facilitate inter-organ communication in vivo and are emerging as critical mediators of tumor progression and metastasis, a condition which is often accompanied by a dysregulated cholesterol metabolism. Whether EVs are involved in the control of cholesterol homeostasis during tumor metastasis is still undefined and warrant further investigation. Here, we find that breast cancer-derived exosomal miR-9-5p induces the expression of HMGCR and CH25H, two enzymes involved in cholesterol synthesis and the conversion of 25-hydroxycholesterol from cholesterol by targeting INSIG1, INSIG2 and ATF3 genes in the liver.

However, the rational design with high-density heterogeneous DAs pairs to promote electromagnetic wave (EMW) absorption performance remains a challenge. In this study, high-density Ni─Cu pairs coupled DAs absorbers are precisely constructed on a nitrogen-rich carbon substrate, achieving an impressive metal loading amount of 4.

Nevertheless, current IST methodologies possess certain limitations because they are not capable of being implemented under conventional conditions, thereby limiting their practical applications. Herein, a highly mixed index facets (HMIF) strategy is proposed to construct homogeneous interfaces with gradient work function (WF) in Mott insulator NiO, accompanied by numerous oxygen vacancies.

Resveratrol (Res) is a polyphenolic compound known for its role in mitigating oxidative stress and inflammation. In this study, we investigated the effects of resveratrol on Cr(VI)-induced disorders of glycolipid metabolism and elucidated its mechanisms.

However, it remains unclear how to harness coassembly to reinforce the host peptides and simultaneously improve the application defects of guest molecules. This study aims to achieve supramolecular synergy between the host and guest, further expanding the functional space of the hybrid nanostructures.

Through rational molecular design, the nanostructures formed by self-assembly of targeting peptides are expected to achieve multivalent targeting by increasing the density of recognition ligands. However, the balance between targeting peptide self-assembly and molecular recognition remains elusive.

Cell type annotation refers to the process of categorizing and labeling cells to identify their specific cell types, which is crucial for understanding cell functions and biological processes. Although many methods have been developed for automated cell type annotation, they often encounter challenges such as batch effects due to variations in data distribution across platforms and species, thereby compromising their performance. To address batch effects, in this study, a pre-trained domain adaptation model based on structural similarity, named pscAdapt, is proposed for cell type annotation.
