A facile, fast and visible sensing platform for ascorbic acid (AA) detection has been developed based on self-assembled hydrangea-like europium metal-organic framework (HL-EuMOF). HL-EuMOF was synthesized through a simple one-step mixing process with Eu and 1, 10-phenanthroline-2, 9-dicarboxylic acid at room temperature, which exhibited excellent properties including strong red fluorescence, long decay lifetime (548.623 μs) and good luminescent stability.

Precisely detecting trace pesticides and their residues in food products is crucial for ensuring food safety. Herein, a high-performance electrochemical sensing platform was developed for the detection of carbendazim (CBZ) using Co,N co-doped hollow carbon nanocage@carbon nanotubes (Co,N-HC@CNTs) obtained from core-shell ZIF-8@ZIF-67 combined with a poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP). The Co,N-HC@CNTs exhibited excellent electrocatalytic performance, benefitting from the synergistic effect of CNTs that provide a large specific surface area and excellent electrical conductivity, Co,N co-doped carbon nanocages that offer high electrocatalytic activity and hollow nanocage structures that ensure rapid diffusion kinetics.

Photo-Fenton-like technology based on HO is considered as an ideal strategy to generate reactive oxygen species (ROS) for antibiotic degradation, but O overflow in the process severely limits the utilization efficiency of HO. Herein, we fabricate BiMoO (BMO) photocatalyst modified with Frustrated Lewis pairs (FLPs) as a Fenton catalyst model for enhancing reuse of spilled O. The FLPs created by the introduction of cerium and oxygen vacancy were found to contribute to regulate the electronic structure of BMO and further improve the acidic and basic properties of photocatalyst surface.

Background: The Sino-Himalayan flora harbors highly diverse high-elevation biotas, but our understanding of its evolutionary history in temporal and spatial dimensions is limited. In this study, we integrated a dated phylogenetic tree with comprehensive species distribution data to investigate changes over time and space in floristic elements, including the tropical, Tethys, northern temperate, and East Asian floristic elements, across the entire Sino-Himalaya and its three floristic regions: the Yunnan Plateau, Hengduan Mountains, and East Himalaya regions.

Results: Our results revealed that the Sino-Himalayan flora developed from lowland biomes and was predominantly characterized by tropical floristic elements before the collision between the Indian subcontinent and Eurasia during the Early Cenozoic.
